Pete's phone must be turned off, poor Gianni is having to do his own spinning

Pete and DFE are having a knees up to celebrate but I'm sure he'll be back spinning when he has been briefed by his master.

So when the club said it would make no further comment they meant except GP who can't keep his gob shut

I imagine one reason why he might have been kept on: Someone has to take the heat and "represent" the club - Who else is there at Loftus Road?

Iain Payne on SSN very kindly read out this email earlier. He said it was quite long but eloquent and he would try to edit it. He then proceeded to read almost all of it. ;D Sent: 10 April 2009 11:01 To: 'u2us@skysports.com' Subject: Paulo Sousa Hi, I am a QPR fan of 46 years, a season ticket holder for ten years until two seasons ago. This for me, at this time, is the most embarrassing time I have known at the club and believe me, we have had many of those. Paul Finney summed it up well with the "four minute plan" comment. Sousa has tried various team shapes and players with varying degrees of success. His record is not fantastic but we have been bombarded recently with the ship steadying statements with a promotion push next season. Sousa did not have a player of his own choosing in the squad, with the possible exception of Lopez, he should have been judged when it was his team and on his team's performances, not somebody else's. Sousa was Briatore's man, brought in with much trumpeting even down to the cringe worthy introduction to the team. Briatore should have stuck by his man so this reflects badly on him. Any statements regarding his dismissal should have come from Briatore himself. After all, Paladini was not involved in any way in Sousa's unveiling at the club. What, I must ask, does Paladini do at the club now? Sporting Director is the title but I am not sure what he is trying to do at the club. Surely, Briatore and Ecclestone can see that so many managerial changes are simply undermining the total stability of the club and alienating supporters who want to enjoy watching football not have the club acting LIKE A CIRCUS. A laughing stock indeed. Of the names bandied around, Ferguson's dad will tell him to stay well clear. Paul Ince has done nothing as a manager and won less than Sousa as a player so that would be a similar waste of time. Wise is a boyhood "R" who wanted to finish his playing career at Rangers but missed out on that. He is unemployed so may well be offered and accepts the job. After all, however long he is there, he will earn a fortune, as have all his short term predecessors. As for the reason given for Sousa's dismissal and the comment last night on SSN from Paladini, could you kindly point out that we are a mid table Championship side not the Ministry of defence. Utterly ridiculous rationale and explanation. Myself and two of my sons were considering getting our season tickets again from next season, this will not be happening now. The recent "early bird" offer was an insult and to announce a 5 per cent reduction this morning is adding injury to the insult. I will be surprised if they sell half the season tickets they sold last season. Apologies for the rather long rant, didn't start out that way, I can assure. From a very disgruntled and ashamed Rangers fan

Aah, so that was YOU - cpr - I heard the email! I had sent a text in but it didn't seem to get read out - probably coz it said just about the same thing as everyone else has been saying!
Regarding that 5% reduction - you said "insult to injury" - my thoughts were trying the clever marketing ploy of making us all so very, very grateful coz, hey, they've listened to us and now have extended the deadline & knocked actually 2.5% off (coz they should've reduced the prices by 2.5% to start with coz of VAT)! Big deal - cheers, I'm so grateful
Does the sarcasm come over well on the internet?!!

They are actually giving nothing - 2.5% is vat reduction, the other 2.5% is the vat reduction you should have had last year. Thanks a lot !!!!

I was going to put in more about the 5% but decided the emai was too long aready and wouldn't be read out. I had only just read about it anyway. There I was reading the paper when 20 minutes after sending it I heard "we have an email from Barry in Walton on Thames, it's a bit long" !!!! Well blow me down! I once called in to talk to Rodney on You're on Sky Sports, when they called me back 2.5 hours later I was hanging and my mobile kept ringing in the background as some mates were trying to dig me out about it ;D I'm no stranger to fame don't you know. Apart from gazza from LFW I didn't see a text or message that agreed with Sousa's removal. Where does GP go from here? What do you reckon Scott?

This doesnt have much to do with him appara. I said a month ago that Flavio wanted PS out..i reckon that he just found a handy little excuse to do it without having to pay compensation.

Fully agree with you re Sousa. And I imagine if it gets to court this will be one of the primary claims by Sousa. And he'll site all the media stories that he was being axed. He might cite Pete and say he was a conduit for information to be put out. The fact that this post did go out on WATRB rather than the dot.org or LFW (or here) won't exactly undermine Sousa's case if he makes one. But as I suggested, he should go for Nico to represent him.
re Paladini: Was he at all close to be axing as you or Pete were implying on the dot.org yesterday?
Bet You Paladini will be gone within six months (Sportsman bet. Like the one I had with Pete than Earnshaw would score more goals than Blackstock this season)

I think he's getting too old for all the stress. I think yesterday everyone's job was on the line. I do think this will end up in court if I'm honest. Hence non stop moderating going on!

Why doesn't he go then?
It would be the right thing to do coz just about every time there's been a problem at the Club, somehow GP's name is right there, bang in the middle of the whole messy saga!
As for PS - well, it wouldn't surprise me if it got swept under the carpet by clever lawyers!

I agree this never see the inside of a courtroom, this is a view that a settle case will still be cheaper than a full pay out and that PS will take something now rather than wait 2 years to get it all via the courts, pure shabbiness
