- The Daily Mail - EXCLUSIVE: Portugal legend Sousa sent packing as QPR call time on their latest bossBy Sportsmail Reporter Queens Park Rangers have sacked manager Paulo Sousa after just five months in charge. The Championship club have appointed winger Gareth Ainsworth as caretaker for the rest of the season. Ainsworth had a previous spell as manager before the appointment of Sousa in November. The former Juventus and Inter Milan midfielder, who arrived amid great fanfare but failed to mount a serious challenge for promotion, may now seek to take legal action against the club. The club has been troubled by internal turmoil since the arrival of chairman Flavio Briatore in 2007. Top scorer Dexter Blackstock was sent on loan to Nottingham Forest last week in a move which Sousa said he had no say in. Sousa's No 2 Bruno Oliverier a was sacked on Monday, since when Sousa's own departure has seemed inevitable. - www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1168782/EXCLUSIVE-Portugal-legend-Sousa-sent-packing-QPR-time-latest-boss.html

Timing fits - but they've got it quick if it's true!
I just checked the official site - but nothing there (but then I wouldn't expect it to be there yet - they are more like snail mail than first and fastest!!)

Many years ago there was a headline in the Chicago Tribune: Dewey defeats Truman for President.

Yes but that was one story...And early polling....This is a dozen different sources including ITKs... And of course no denial...
But I think we should also recall: That beyond WATRB Pete constant drumbeat of anti-Sousa posts (from which he is now furiously backtracking)....
There have been a stream of newspaper stories/leaks over the past few weeks about Sousa being replaced with club sources quoted . His #2 has just been axed. We've got Sousa's comments about Blackstock and his reported comments as noted by the poster (sorry on WATRB)...Just a whole host of stories etc.
The club may not know how to get promotion, but it certainly knows how to fire managers

Except I think they're just citing the Mail article rather than any independent source. So the Death Watch Wait continues
