Not a trick question. And actually don't know the answer.
I remember Darlington used to go through managers consistently.
Obviously QPR have done their bit since 1968, but I'm sure there are some clubs who have gone through even more.

We could be on the threshold of most managers in one year, but I said could be. We will know when Big Ben strikes its midnight bell. The town crier will be awoken and he will race through London with the news. The time is short.

Over the years, we've appointed some not so great managers. But that's always been the manager. Not the system. Now we've gone through a bunch of managers and who's to say it's going to get any better as long as we keep doing what we're doing.
But ok: IF we do insist on the Chairman involvement and Sporting Director route, then for G-d sake appoint a manager or chief coach who is both competent and willing to accept this process. Whether that means the De Canio return or whatever. But there's no point appointing a manager who may be great, but who can't work within the system the Chairman wants. That system might be a crazy one. But if it's the one the Chairman insists, build around it
