Brilliant, wish i could do something as half as good as that..." Maude: You've done great so far in just your "debut" season And years from now, people will be saying "Wish I could do something half as good as QPR Report's Maudesfishnchips" Fenwick on Jim Smith: Reminded me of Neil Warnock " Yes, well Jim’s another character. He was very different to Venables. Terry was very tactical, knew the game inside out and recognised lots of little details whereas Jim was about honesty and character. He got the team working because we wanted to play for him. He was a nice old boy, you could have a bit of laugh but at the end of the day the players wanted to do well for him."

Watched him in Hand of god world cup, didnt realise he was injured. I just went over to their site and congratulated Ron for this piece, didnt realise also that he could play centre back and midfield. Would be nice if one of our midfielders could help out in the back with lack of healthy bodies.

Lucky sod. I think I was being chased off the pitch by mounted police at the time.

I was in the paddock and after the game left the ground and went to the reception in south africa rd, there was an old boy on the door, I told him I was fenwicks son. That would of made terry a dad at 8 years old! Silly ol sod!! I even managed to get up to the directors box with the players when they came out. Those were the days I was good at blagging!

Fine player for us,
Nice to know he still keeps in touch with our games.
He had a good stint with us and deserved his move to Spurs
cheers,
Jay.
