50Years Ago - Sept 7 1971 48 47 years ago today, Gordon Jago's QPR vs Birmingham in the League Cup and it was billed as the two Francises: Trevor Francis then the "New Jimmy Greaves" 16 year old superstar at Birmingham, versus QPR's Gerry Francis (who then was just a good young QPR player - not anywhere near that stardom) QPR won 2-0 and I seem to remember Gerry Francis scored one
