I was wondering whether the hold up yesterday was Arsenal stalling the deal until they sorted out their Brazilian? Possibly, or I could have been wrong and the FA actually weren't working on a bank holiday.

Supposedly £1.2m (though that was going around a joke for the last 24 hours) and 3 years?

www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/1035/77/traore-i-had-leave-arsenalArmand Traore says the chance to play regular football at QPR meant he had to leave Arsenal. The left-back, part of a defence that shipped eight against Manchester United on Sunday, found himself surplus to requirements at Emirates Stadium. He played at Old Trafford only because of a defensive crisis and, having managed just a handful of league appearances in five years at the club, as well as being sent on loan to Juventus, Traore has been moved on by Arsene Wenger. And after signing a three-year deal at Loftus Road, Traore said: "When I talked to Neil Warnock he was very passionate about what I could bring to the club. "He was very motivated about playing me week in, week out, and that's what I need at this stage of my career. "I've not been able to prove and show what I'm all about because I've been at two big, big clubs like Juventus and Arsenal."

Well he got slated this morning by Talksports French correspondent , said he just hasnt moved forward. But that was his first game for Arsenal for 7-8 months , he has only played bit part their and NW could turn him into something really special . Think before we listen to Arse supporters we need to watch him 10+ times in a Hooped jersey before we judge him at all !

QPR Official EXCLUSIVE: ARSENAL ACE JOINS Tue 30 Aug 2011 QPR boss Neil Warnock has strengthened his defensive options with the addition of Arsenal left-back Armand Traore. The 21 year-old has penned a three year-deal in W12 and follows recent recruits Joey Barton and Luke Young through the Loftus Road entrance door. Traore, who has made 33 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners and spent time on loan at Italian giants Juventus last term, told http://www.qpr.co.uk: "When I talked to Neil Warnock he was very passionate about what I could bring to the Club. "He was very motivated about playing me week in, week out, and that's what I need at this stage of my career. "I've not been able to prove and show what I'm all about because I've been at two big, big Clubs like Juventus and Arsenal. "I'm looking forward to coming here and playing regular football. "The ambition of the new owners and the calibre of players they are signing is something that really attracted me to the Club." Warnock, who is working around the clock in a bid to add more new faces to his squad before Wednesday's 11.00pm deadline, believes Traore's arrival will significantly strengthen his options in the defensive third, adding: "Armand has been my number one defensive target for a while now. I've been speaking to Arsene (Wenger) for a couple of weeks. "He's a young and exciting lad who I think can only get better playing for a side like ourselves on a regular basis. He needs games and he'll get that here. "Nobody has seen the best of him yet, but over the next couple of years I'm confident he'll show the quality that I clearly believe he has. "He'll be a great outlet for us down that left hand side. "He's got all the attributes you need to be a top, top defender." Traore will wear the number 13 shirt. www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2435367,00.html QPR OFFICIAL SITE - August 30, 2011 TRAORE: 'DON'T JUDGE ME ON UNITED DEFEAT' Armand Traore has asked QPR fans not to judge him on his performance against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon. The 21 year-old defender was a late call-up to the Gunners' starting XI at Old Trafford, as Arsene Wenger's out-of-sorts side succumbed to a heavy 8-2 loss against the reigning Premier League Champions. Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Traore pleaded to the R's faithful to not judge him on one 'awful' display. "I wasn't supposed to play that game, but the injuries and suspensions meant I was called up quite late on," he told www.qpr.co.uk. "I knew from last week that I was coming to QPR. "Unfortunately it was one of the worst performances I've had as a First Team player, but I hope the QPR fans don't judge me on that display. "I was out for almost three weeks beforehand and only trained a couple of days before the game. "Once I get back into training I will be a lot sharper and ready to fire for QPR - to show the QPR fans what I am capable of." www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2435486,00.html en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armand_Traor%C3%A9

can someone tell me a bit about traore? is he quick? can he cross? can he defend? Very quick, can cross but has struggled with defensive side. To be fair he's never had a run in the team other than at Portsmouth. Couldn't find any Pompey fans to slag him off

I have no idea if he's any good...
But if Warnock wants him, I presume he is!
And once again: That is so refreshing: Not to get these "mysterious" signings (regardless of cost), that one also wondered: WHY did we sign him?
