Edited: Yes I "bumped" it. Because this era was THE era. And this game was THE game (assuming it was my first-ever)
And I have the programme
December 16, 1967: Newly promoted, table-topping QPR....QPR versus Portsmouth
The QPR Programme in the traditional changing coloured cover with little stick men, featured QPR vs Portsmouth. Kick off time was the (QPR) traditional 3:15pm
The twelve-page, with a couple of black and white photos (no colour) Programme cost 9d. Inside, the old QPR logo of three upside horshoes

QPR's record" Played 20: Won 12 - Drawn 2 - Lost 6 - Scored 29 - Conceded 17
At this point, QPR had used 18 players during the season (as opposed to about 30 this season, after the same number of games!) Rodney Marsh had just returned from injury. League leaders Portsmouth, managed by George Smith had John Milkin in goal; Ron Tindall Center Half, Bobb Kellard and Ray Pointer in midfield and Ray Hiron up front.
From the programme notes "...We are a little worried, however, with the silence of our supporters. They are great when we are banging them in but seem to lose patience and their voices when things are not going so well. We need them more when we are a goal behind than when we are a goal up."
And in the programme, an article by Sean Kilfeather ... "Rangers supporters have now accustomed themselves to the fact that their favourites are challenging for promotion so that any loss of form or points is regarded as a major catastrophe. Such is the price of success and the sooner Rnagers get used to it the better it will be for them. First Division football is just around the next corner and even if not gained this season must get priority in any planning that the club does. This is where dedication on the field and strength of purpose off it can be vital. Rangers have been the poor relations of London football for too long. Players fans and administration will have to get to grips with their new respoibities and the glories of last season must be regarded only as a stepping stone. Go to it Rnagers! It is in the interest of football that this chance is not allowed to slip away..."
