"CONTROVERSIAL chairman Gianni Paladini is set to leave QPR with a two-year pay off." - Ealing Gazette.
Pay back the loan and pay back the fine.

pay the fine, Gianni, almost a million pound. anyway, good bye Italy, hello India and Malaysia! Wooooo!! They should refund the first match, and reduce tickets by 20%, season tickets I think will stay, but walk up tickets can be reduced, can't they?

I would like to thak Flab and his Pet Monkey for the following: 1. Going though ther host of coaches that we went through - when there were at least 2 in that list who could have taken us up much earlier than what we did. 2. For keeping on the Former Two Bit Agent at QPR and allowing him to reatin such a prominent role at tyhe club depsite his lies, his poor admin skills, his poor people skills and just about every other negative thing that he brought to OUR football club. 3. For embellishing the myth that without these 2 saviours (and of course paladini in the background) there would be no QPR. 4. For their comments aimed at the fans (20 quid remember?), the breakdown between club and fans and by rewarding fans for their complete loyalty of 15 years of no Premiership football with those outrageous ticket prices. 5. For rather investing ona new crest that not many of us wanted, for upgrading the boardroom and turning us into a "boutique" club whilst not investing on the pitch. 6. For putting Neil Warnock's future in doubt even though he has probably been our most effective coach in at least 2 decades. 7. For creating record losses and increasing our debt season after season with not much to show for it on the pitch (until last season when you took a back seat). 8. For heaping disgrace on this club with your comments and actions. 9. For not allowing the club to have a open bus parade due to every excuse under the sun (all refuted by other parties of course) even though clubs like Carlisle, Norwich, Peteboro etc all managed to hold ones of their own. 10. Refusing to give NW a decent kitty to spend for this season and thus putting any hope of Premiership in jeopardy even before the season had begun.
And fianlly but not least of all.. 11. For finally getting the hell out of OUR football club so that we may go on the business of being a FC for fans and players alike.
Do you need me to carry on?

Perfect Phil, and let's see the response from the "pro" faction?? But your list is quite factual so no one can really argue the points. The only positive I can of from these guys is that when they first joined, despite making the outlandish comment that we would be playing Champions League football within 4 years, was that they did briefly produce some positive publicity for the club. Then a short time later showed that they were rich but very cheap. Except of course when it came to the Cnut Club facilities and themselves.

I sort of thought that after yesterday's departures, the Paladini boys would try and mend fences! I guess I'm as good as my predictions in that area, as I am with "Spot The Ball!"

I'm not a great believer in the 'the next level', to tell the truth, but I would be interested to know more about it from those who do.
I realise it is just an expression, but it seems to represent a widely held view about the game. That, with a little care and attention, A Club can select a nice spot, where it can live more or less indefinitely, and fairly easily.
To my mind, this a myth. And a deceptively dangerous one. The League is not comfortably horizontal, but precipitously vertical. And I see no levels.
And if there were, we would have no chance. Other Clubs would have occupied them long since. As sure that they will stay there as we seem to be sure that we will supplant them.
Isn't this wrong? Isn't it self-defeating? If football offers such reassurances, it is of no interest. And we have no chance. Our only hope is that the 'levels' above us DON'T offer their occupants any security.
I think this anxiety isn't the old one about whether we would sign the right player, get the right manager, have a better season, win something. Once, it didn't matter. You could have a go, slide back down, and it made no difference. Failure was its own safety net. The expensive stars left, you got a little money by selling them, you rebuilt, and had another go.
But this is new.
Each bunch of speculators gamble the Club's very existence with every throw of the dice, bringing it to the brink of annihilation. If that is not the case, why does every one of them tell us he has saved the Club?
Saved it from what?
Far from making the Clubs competitive, they are afraid to compete at all, because the risks are too terrifying.
We daren't take any chances ON the field, because these people have stacked up the odds off it. With the Club's money, naturally, not with their own.
Gregory's sides went up fast, and came down fast. But he damaged the Club by doing it, seeking to close us down to make his own 'investment' more secure, and more profitable. And we have never recovered.
Once, going up and down were natural things. The odds made it impossible for any Club to do well for long. But that has changed.
Nowadays, they must improve all the time, and it won't happen. The League can't be turned on its side, to make a nice sunlit meadow. It remains a familiar weather-battered cliff face. You struggle up slowly, then slide down quick. Fewer and fewer of the climbers make it anywhere near the top, where any number of Clubs once made an appearance.
The more desperate we are to stabilise the Club, the more unstable it becomes. The slightest sign that we are struggling causes us to ring the changes without understanding why. We assume that failure is somehow wrong. But the league is built on failure. To the extent that it is stable, it is stable because so many Clubs aren't successful.
They all TRY to do well. But they won't.
So I rephrase my question. If there are levels which a Club like ours can attain and where we can go and feel much safer, what are all the OTHER Clubs doing so wrong that they won't be there? To be sure we're getting it right, we must be equally sure they're getting it wrong. What evidence is there that we are so different?
To me, they all look and sound much the same. Lemming-like.
Fascinating thread and posts.

Also the loan which flabio took on he was charging extortionate interest and it was costing the club an absolute fortune.
Now the guys in charge have the loan interest free to the club which is going to make a massive difference.

Watch them start smooching up to TF and AB. Guaranteed, perhaps we should run a poll as to whom we think will try and give the best blow job? Did i read correctly that fernandes has taken on the old loan as a loan with 0% interest in the benefit of the club? Now that is impressive.

Those clowns nearly F***ed up what should have been a dream season and turned it into a nerve shredding nightmare! What about this season ? I'm not too sure how big a difference things might have turned out if say they sold in July rather than mid August ? For me the idea of blaming Ecclestone and Briatore for this season doesn't hold up. The present board, one of which was a member of the previous regime up until summer of last year before rejoining and so fairly takes 33% of any of that blame as well otherwise your argument is entirely biased in my eyes, have had since November to address the problem and have failed to do so creating an unbalanced side full of mercenaries that don't care alongside not good enough workhorses that do. They sacked the manager too late in the season for it to have had any real affect, they've panic bought in both windows raising the already unsubstainable running costs and basically taken a gamble by chucking money at the problem, which hasn't paid off. And so what? These successful businessmen have no previous experience in football and are learning as they go in terms of man managing and building a successful football team. They know their airplanes, hotels, hedge fund and private equities businesses but are learning when it comes to football and so far results bear that out. They've got all the time in the world for me and will always be judged on their results so far, not on future promises or financial wealth. Experiencing a relegation might even be beneficial for their knowledge of the game from that aspect of the business as it is always a possible consequence and we must be patient with them and show the players on the pitch our support in order to lift them. It's an absolute waste of time and effort looking to apportion blame on anybody. Instead of looking to blame anyone for relegation, deal with it and plan for the future. It's been a long time but at least now we can plan for it in the long term, which is the best thing Fernandes has given this club. New training ground and upping the academy status? F***in' brilliant. Relegation? It will piss me off and upset me, but other than that I'll get over it, eventually and look forward to supporting the R's in the long term.

Very nicely put, Mark.
Learning how to be owners/running a club
The thing about Flavio: He seemed to have absolutely no learning curve.
If anything he actually REGRESSED into thinking he KNEW how to run a football club. And how to manage a football team. How to make managerial appointments, etc.
Everyone makes mistakes...And hopefully one learns from them

Nice post Mark . I think this board would certainly learn from the mistakes that have been made for sure . We must keep some stabiliy now whatever happens and if we drop a tier nobody wants it but we take i on the chin and try again via a slightly different path .
No point chewing over it really ! Mistakes have been made !

Interesting opening post by Hitman on this thread met by an instant response from Maude. The opening view formed a solid line all the way through the later debates on the NW sacking and really leads you to question the motives and where his loyalty actually lay.

Put it this way: Based on his recent posts on another QPR board (where he also expressed his undying love and admiration for this board ): It's not enough for Hitman that Warnock no longer be in charge of QPR. Warnock now has to be hounded out of the Leeds job
