Anything?
Were people really expecting promotion/playoffs? (I was!)
Is it actually a good thing we weren't promoted? Gives up time to build a squad?
Appointing Dowie? Axing Dowie?
The Ainsworth Appointment? The Sousa Appointment?
Poor Signings? Poor Use of Budget? The foreign Signings?
Unlucky WIth Injury?
Briatore's Involvement/presence?
Etc!
And next season, assuming we don't engage in mass summer spending...?

If we had kept Dowie we might have finished higher, just because of consistency. We played dire football at times but there were enough wins to keep us involved.
I booked a holiday where I later found out that I would leave on May 25th (the play-off final), I was mortified as at that time I was certain that we would be getting there. It wasn't injuries that stopped this happening, we just played really really badly for about a month (up to the Swansea game).
So there are my "theories". This logic is based on the maligned Blackstock being first choice under Dowie incidentally, as he would by law of averages got to 20 at least for the season.

As I am af happy fan that supports Brie. hmhm, 11th pace is perfect Remember its now a five year plan. Next year 7th..2011 4th lose in playoffs. 2012 First and get promoted. I guarantee if we make playoffs and get promoted with this team we would be back next year. Brie knows that and he is a sensible man, although I dont like his slippers.
