We need some kind of football activity for these weekends. Say reserves v Youth, or some friendly games, or two top amateur teams playing at Loftus. does the FA allow this? It just seems too long.

How about a Christmas Past vs Christmas Future type fixture?
- Or in this case, an actual QPR XI vs a "Fantasy QPR XI" made up of players we were supposedly signing: Watson in midfield; Evans up front, etc.
And in attendance could be the "fantasy" crowds as mentioned in the takeover document versus a real crowd.

Or the old timers (retired) vs Top Fans 11. (Brie chooses fans that are nice to him, and have spent most money). will get a brief tryout to see if they can kick ball into net while standing in front of it,. also must speak five words of Italian.

Of course given that it's forty years since I last visited Loftus Road (according to one poster on another site), I might get lost trying to get there...

Yes, on game days, the 662 or 664 to the Scrubs then the 628 or 630 and racing to the game. Zed thats like nostalgia galore, only problem was when the sticks came off and the conductor had this gigantic pole and fished around in thin air to clamp them on, great sport towatch

You could jump on at the scrubs and off again at the white city, and make your way to Loftus rd for the match.......so it is football related. ;D that was for lazy sods like me.

SP We did the same crawl to Wembley Picking up folks after a pint in each pub. British Volunteer, Pole, Pav etc. There was another pub on Latimer Rd but I can't remember it's name? The Volunteer had one of it's infamous lock-ins the night before and some were staggering before we set off. ;D Baz good spot on my clip. I had it to hand from a previous posting

What part of London do you come from Mate?

You mean you didnt stop at the Harrow Tavern? Right down the end of my street. Baz would know the answer to that London. Spot on SP, moved from nawfken to Wembley, to here maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl al I remeber of the game was sitting on the halfway line with Oxford fans less than a yard away, horrible experience. My son has the scarf as he found it years back, I had no idea i still had it. Also, played football for Tokyngton in the London Commercial league and we drank in the 'arra tavern most Saturday evenings. Edit: That map link didn't work. EDit: Can't get link to work, it was here. ;D Don't remember those shops though, it was Augustus Barnet when I lived there.
