And presumably Man Ut, Arsenal, Chelsea etc have comparable systems...We can only dream at such professionalism, etc.www.imscouting.com/global_news_item.aspx?id=1623Rafa Benitez’s scouting network at Liverpool revealed / Administration 24/03/2009 Rafa Benitez’s former assistant Paco Herrera, now manager of Castellon in Spain, has revealed how Liverpool scout for players in a wide ranging interview in The Sun today. The Merseyside giants have a 70-person scouting network and a player database of 14,000 professionals. In addition, Benitez has transformed the training ground at Melwood and changed the diets of the Liverpool players to ensure no stone is left unturned in the search for success. Benitez has also built a dedicated video room and the club have set up a system whereby he can receive a DVD of any game he wants from any of the top 12 leagues in the world. According to Herrera: "As time went by Rafa proposed to create a personal database, apart from the one at the club which is also very interesting. So he created a personal one and that’s where every day all the scouts from every country are putting information on all the players they are watching. I would say it would be closer to 14,000 www.imscouting.com/global_news_item.aspx?id=1623
