Description
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inclusion and Diversity Officer to join our team at QPR in the Community Trust (charitable arm of Queens Park Rangers Football Club).
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to coordinate the Trust's Inclusion and Diversity Programme and work closely with the Inclusion and Diversity Manager on the delivery of Kickz and Disability programmes. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting people with a disability (children and adults) to access football and other physical activity, focusing on Down Syndrome and the Trust's Tiger Cubs (our fully inclusive football club for people with Down Syndrome).
You will have the ability to work with young people and adults, in particular those with challenging behaviours, those deemed socially disadvantaged, those from different ethnic groups and those with special needs.
We are looking for:
* A leader who has the ability to inspire and motivate young people and adults from all backgrounds and communities
* Previous experience coaching disabled footballers
* Willingness to work evenings and some weekends
* A team player with energy and passion for the role
* You will hold a certificate in coaching disabled footballers
* You will have a minimum of FA level 2 coaching certificate
* You will hold a full driving licence. A personal vehicle will be required for the position
An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check will be conducted on the successful applicant.
