Official Site WORLD DOWN'S SYNDROME DAY Today is a very special day for QPR in the Community Trust, as we celebrate world Down's Syndrome Day and welcome back the QPR Tiger Cubs - a team solely for children with DS - to Loftus Road. World Down's Syndrome Day is celebrated annually on March 21st with each country hosting their own celebrations. The event is held on this day to acknowledge the additional third copy of the 21st chromosome - the reason Down's Syndrome occurs. As part of the celebration, the QPR squad will be warming up in T-shirts sporting the Community Trust and DSA logos with the headline 'Doing it for Down's Syndrome.' In addition to marking the occasion, Santander - one of the Clubs Key Partners - will work with the QPR Tiger Cubs and take part in the half-time challenge. If you would like to support the work QPR in the Community Trust and its key partner - The Down's Syndrome Association - one of the easiest ways is to donate to one of the collection boxes, which are based in the QPR Superstore. And in return, you will receive a DSA key ring. You can also donate by visiting www.qprcommunitytrust.co.uk and click on Gift Aid on the top right of the page or contact Anthony Doherty - QPR Community Trust Disability Development Officer - at anthonyd@qpr.co.uk For more information about World's Down's Syndrome Day, please visit www.worlddownsyndromeday.org/index.htm or contact Patricia James at the Down's Syndrome Association on 0845 230 0372 or via e-mail at patricia.james@downs-syndrome.org.uk. www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~1597982,00.html
