you can do it a few ways, but right clicking the item and selecting as item as normally works.
if it is a flash or protected item the screen capture it and paste it into paint and crop it, then save it.

Thanks Blockhead - It's more that I want to guarantee the photo doesn't disappear as some of those I posted today - and in the past have done - WIll this do it - So if the original website changes, the photo remains?

Most of my pics are ones I've loaded up on my own webhost.

Got it. But someone suggested a way. It was a like a temporary website/you uploaded. You downloaded and it was "safe" against 'disaster" LIKE JUST HAPPENED HERE - GONE!

It's not you as I said on that other thread. I am pretty sure those pics are protected by the originator. I just had another look at your coding.
Ps: they were shit pics anyway.

But if you download on Photobucket (or the other thing I think) they're no longer protected? Because the photos for a short while were visible here

It's a phyical impossibility to have "shit photos" of Stan Bowles, Dave Thomas and Gerry Francis in their QPR days!

Interesting. I download and save the pics to my site, upload them, do my own coding and your ones show up too!
