Very comprehensive and your dedication to the team is tops and I wait for your game reviews as they are so comprehensive.
They saved our skins. The club has a present and future. That does not preclude that as fans we cant have some concerns and some criticisms. Laregely investing in players of value should be left to an experienced team builder, academy, lower division finds, extensive scouting. This 'INNERDS' of a team are the foundation. Read Tony Inghams remarks about where we bought some of our stars of the 60s and 70s, from lower divisions. Sinton came from Brentford etc.. Yes Gianni through his connections recruited Flav. Buth there is a lot about this whole episode that we have no privy to. I criticize the way managers have been changed and where they are from and their experience. He should have been interested in building the teams quality from the get go. You yourself describe in your reports the absence of skills in the team. I still admire and respect you for your writings reports expertise etc but Im sure you dont feel that I cant disagree and be mildly critical.
I saw my first game in 1944. The players were on leave from the Army. If there was an air raid warning the games were abandoned. I am a dedicated fan and in many ways I do not compare to your dedication in bringing the games to us in a special way. but I have the right to be critical of the way things have gone on the field. It could have been better. The parade of continental players was their way of bringing in players. They made a mistake here. But to throw money in a haphazard way at UK players does not square with a coherent plan to build a premiership team. These areas are not from a sense of criticism but from a sense of bewilderment.
Correction and a big one. Many of my comments here are addressed to clive whittingham, however I see he didnt write it. Then to Aaron Mays, I am sorry, but my remarks most of them are still applicable
