This is relegation statistics. How anyone can be happy with this is beyond my comprehension.

Sousa is always happy with the lads performances and is the only one wekly who sees us still having a chance of playofs as we slip further and further away from it. Gary Waddock was always happy also until we lost 5-0 at Sarfend

Trouble is Briatore hasn't given Sousa a new script since the last time the team won.

Look, just because Sousa SAYS he's happy, doesn't mean he is. I think the test would be what's he saying on the training ground, etc.
There are some managers who don't believing in criticizing their players publicly.
And as always, what happens after we spend a million pounds (or whatever) in axing Sousa? Is his replacement going to be an improvement?

I understand the desire for solidarity in the camp and to present a united front, but after a while, and following a series of adverse results, to persist in saying the same upbeat things makes Sousa look a complete idiot. Or do they think that we are the idiots ?

Fairly certain Briatore thinks it's the latter.

But its much more common for diverse responses. The lads did well shouldve won, or we were lucky to win or those that played poorly they know who thy are, or we were rubbish today and Imnot proud of the effort, and also glowing appraisal inbig wins. This sounds like canned corporate speak. Never admit anything is wrong.
