One year ago today, QPR announced the appointment of De Canio are our new manager (First Team Coach).

I see in the Official Statement he was given a 2 1/2 year contract, which is a little strange cos I seem to recall Briatore or Paladini saying it was always known he was just a short term appointment. (The exact quotes, I'd have to find). But maybe I misunderstood.
