- After the past two results? I'm obviously torn. But ultimately, I'd still go for the experienced professional manager, with Ainsworth as his Assistant. But maybe wait a couple more weeks and see how Ainsworth is doing. [Added a two seperate question poll; not sure how two questions will work out!]

4 very good points but we still need a manager. Obviously with a 10 man victory over arguably the best team in the league I'm happy at the moment but I hope we appoint a quality manager/coach. Come on Flav, give Steve Clarke a call and make him an offer he can't refuse.

Pros and Cons (which could be added to both pros and cons)
Why not: Possibly because - New manager bounce. - Having a Chairman involved like this can't work out. Belief that being a manager/First Team Coach is a job that requires real training; not suitable for a neophyte, no matter how talented. And a belief that this will end in tears and Ainsworth will move on.
Pros: It seems to be working It worked at Sunderland: He took over and up Maybe Ainsworth is the exception that works
