From some, I'm sure!
Football League - PASTA MASTER GALLEN
Kevin Gallen is teaching his younger team-mates the magic ingredient for a long career at the top - being handy in the kitchen.
The Luton Town striker, 33, invites the players round to his St Albans home on Monday nights for Italian cookery lessons.
Gallen and wife Louisa share their passion for Italian food by passing on tips to the novice chefs at Kenilworth Road.
Gallen said: "It all began as a bit of a joke. One of the young lads, who shall remain nameless, mentioned that he hated cooking and barely knew how to use the toaster.
"I was a bit taken aback and said I would show him how to cook a few tasty pasta dishes.
"He was dubious at first but I twisted his arm and a few of the other guys said they were interested in coming along, too.
"A couple of weeks ago my wife and I showed them how to cook meatballs with spaghetti.
"They seemed to enjoy it and they said they fancied learning more so we did lasagne the following week and it has become a bit of a regular thing."
The former Queens Park Rangers and Milton Keynes Dons forward added: "I'm no Gordon Ramsay but I love food and pottering around the kitchen.
"The lads know all about diet and nutrition these days but there's a difference between knowing what you should eat and actually being able to prepare it. Sometimes you just need someone to show you.
"There are obvious health benefits. If you eat well, you look after your body better and can play football for longer."
