Crap deal IMHO.
Wow, so if you renew within the next 6 weeks you pay the same as this season? And, if you don't the price will go up (to how much I dunno) .
Not much compared to what other clubs are doing is it?

Not problem; appreciate you posting re this. Were you EXPECTING something different (based on what you might have heard)? Any reason why this is the decision? To be honest, after reading reports from the 1QPR meet and specifically Amits interviews of late I actually expected us to reduce them. Other clubs across the country are doing exactly that. We're still paying to see QPR this season so, to ask fans to find another £500/£600 within a 6 week time frame isn't on at all. Now, here's me real worry...In 6 weeks time the prices will go up....say by, i dunno 15%. What will have to happen then is individual match day tickets will have to have a rise to make the ST actually cost effective vs. buying seats for individual games. So, your £35 platinum goes up to £40..your £30 Gold goes up to £35. And we're back to away fans having to pay £35+ to sit in the school end, bad press, low crowds. I actually think this is worse than the original increases last year.

On the other hand, I imagine over the next few weeks, I'll be reading statements on the Official Site informing us how well the tickets are selling

On the other hand, I imagine over the next few weeks, I'll be reading statements on the Official Site informing us how well the tickets are selling I've no doubt that you will. I logged off for a few hours to relax and see what others thought. Looking at the other messageboards I'd say people are very unhappy

Well they must be trying to build up debt. The attendance would be much higher with reasonable prices so would their bottom line. Debt is a great negotiable commodity still.

On the other hand, I imagine over the next few weeks, I'll be reading statements on the Official Site informing us how well the tickets are selling OK, as I was saying First One... b] QPR Official Site[/b] NICK'S ALREADY GOT HIS - HAVE YOU? Boyhood R's fan Nick Barton was the first Rangers supporter to take advantage of our Early Bird Season Ticket offer, available to current Season Ticket Holders and Members, as well as previous Season Ticket Holders. The 33 year-old, who lives in Derbyshire, renewed his current South Africa Road Season Ticket just minutes after they went on sale earlier today (Friday). Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk, Nick, who as one of the first 1,000 supporters to take advantage of this offer will automatically receive an annual subscription to QPR: The Official Magazine, said: "I'm normally one of the most unorganised people in the world, but on this occasion I just wanted to renew it as soon as possible. "I'd like to think it will be good value for money, because next season promises to be a really interesting season. "We've built a solid foundation this season and if the Board allow the Manager to invest in one or two key players over the summer, we'll be in great shape to mount a real charge. "I never expected us to become an instant success overnight, but we've gradually improved this season and next season will really be the acid test for us." www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~1572439,00.html

The club are scoundrels. How dare they freeze prices and then use marketing to try and sell them.

The club are scoundrels. How dare they freeze prices and then use marketing to try and sell them. Marketing and spin are fine. But I expect and demand that every statement that comes from the club on every issue to be 100% truthful.

There is no denying that it is spin but it looks truthful to me.

I suppose one could say that the prices should reflect the 2.5% VAT reduction or that if we reach the Premier League we will get less games for our money but apart from that I can't see any untruths. Have I missed something?

The way they manage the corporate business is what is important. The fan base and loyalty and rosy future predictions hav a 1984 quality. The Department of Truth. The appointed minister of truth is Bhattia.

Just to clarify, the Oligarchs never buy anything without hedging their bets. If they are losing too much they will have a buyer who is deep in the recesses of whatever loans they are using, or other sources of money, from favours they are owed. Will they sell? They already know the debt number. They will have to spend a ton of money to get this team premier proof. That means more loans. In this economy its a waiting game.
