Said Chairman Bill Bratt: "We have received an approach and we have reluctantly allowed Micky to speak to them. "Micky is a terrific manager, who has been up front and honest with us throughout the process. "It's testament to how well he has done at Port Vale that we have now been approached. Micky was offered a new contract before this happened and that is still on the table. "We obviously want him to stay with Port Vale and I know everyone connected with the club feels the same." Meanwhile at Plymouth
CLUB STATEMENTPosted on: Fri 24 Dec 2010 THE Argyle Board of Directors have told Home Park office staff that they expect their December wages to be paid by the end of the month. A statement made available to all Home Park employees on Christmas Eve began by expressing graititude towards the staff, who were also paid late last month. The statement reads: "Thank you for your continued support of the club through this difficult period. "As explained previously, we had hoped to receive the next piece of funding prior to Christmas. Funding has been committed to be received by December 31, but has not been able to be brought forward and, as a result, we expect to process the December payroll on December 31. "As the precise timing of the funding arrival on December 31 cannot be certain, it may be that your December pay does not arrive in your bank accounts until January 4 or 5. "As you are aware, the staff November payroll has all been paid. "The players have received partial payments and we have been working with the PFA to provide loan finance to help address the short-term shortfall in the November pay. It has not been possible to complete these arrangements prior to Christmas, because of the Christmas break affecting the availability of key people outside of the club. "As an interim measure, the PFA is making available loans directly to the players covering some of the outstanding amounts. We are working on completing the formal loan arrangements with the PFA . "The club expects to be fully up to date with payroll for all employees in January and the board is working with its advisors to permanently resolve the financial issues and to put the club onto a stable base. "Thank you again for your continued commitment to the club." www.pafc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10364~2251292,00.html and Plymouth Official Site - BOARD STATEMENTPosted on: Fri 24 Dec 2010 Plymouth Argyle Football Club announce that Keith Todd will be relinquishing his role as Executive Director from January 1, 2011. Micky Adams is new Blades boss
Micky Adams is quitting Port Vale to become the new manager of Sheffield United.
The former Fulham and Leicester boss replaces Gary Speed at Bramall Lane after beating out former Hull gaffer Phil Brown and ex-Portsmouth manager Paul Hart for the Blades job.
Adams will quadruple his £65,000-a-year salary with the League Two leaders and Vale will be paid compensation for a man who has revived the club since joining them 19 months ago.
