Which is all very good and historical, but it says something, The present is offputting and disappointing. The future is of "Great expectations" But its all very dodgy. Manager to manager to manager. Diamonds to rhomboids to double backs, minimal strikers. Cast off players from premiership or too lame or not good enough. Italians Spaniards S. Americans of unknown pedigree. A mongrel mess that still mathematically can make playoffs. Yes, concentrate on kits. I dislike blue shorts at home. Must be white. The blue hoop is too thin and too deep royal blue. A wider quieter blue. The away kits not for me. Black and white hoops would do it with black shorts. then a black QPR badge. The old one.

Interestingly there must be 50 posts about the game today on WATRB. This site is bereft of comment. Makes no sense.

Not that I am inferring that we are . But it still surprises me that they have such a range and diversity of expressed opinion wheras we have little. I also dont think its that easy. "We were outplayed, we lost, QED." Our team looked out of shape. They were sweating and huffing after 30 minutes of play on a mild day in London. I think we are out of shape. I doubt if we did much training during the two weeks off. I'll tell you what I think. He plays the 1-4 5-1 because flav likes it and thats the italian way and thats the way it is. Thats why he spends money on a spanish midfielder where he gets some money break. No strikers. The same interference that shoved Dowie out. This will continue as long as the puppet Paladini and Flav. run things. The economy turn adds an edge to this. We are a tax-writoff for him. Eventually we will become a liability and well go on the market. He keeps payroll down and wages manageable so he can sell when he wants. This is a shrewed businessman. That doesnt produce attractive football but that really is not his number one goal. Despite what he says. this is a completely different world than two years ago when he resuscitated us. His goals I know have changed. Ok flail away at me. I can take it. This QPR fan is 95% scar tissue and takes a punch well.

If they (currently ) have a few more posters (and readers) than this site, it would seem logical they'd have more posters expressing more views on the game. And if you're going to post views on a match, that - or dot.org or Rivals would not seem an illogical place to post. I think we all wonder what our Board is doing. And whether the credit crunch and financial collapses is having an inhibiting impact. The next six months will be very interesting to see what actually happens: The loan window is still open. And then the summer if per chance we don't make it. They can spin and spin and spin. But we'll actually see who comes in and who leaves. From the manager to the players. And how much is spent. As I said before, I don't think we've spent particularly well; We're paying high wages. And our financial losses are probably pretty high. But it's interesting reading the other boards. At a certain point - I guess that's now! - it becomes acceptible to offer critiques of the Board, Manager, players. And then everyone piles in. If you offered those points earlier, well, no comment! Anyway bottom line: all I can do is provide an arena for posts and discussion. Whether people read or post is up to them. If limiting discussion areas to QPR/football is an inhibiting factor, so be it.

I'm not disputing you! But if people don't want to post, nothing I can do re that. Personally I think this site has possibilities to be a great site - just by focusing on the central issues and ignoring all the crud, fluff, infighting, etc, etc. But that's not my call. This is the kind of site I'd like if I were a QPR-interested posted. But the "free market" rules - and people obviously decide for themselves. And obviously there is no incentive for other sites to promote this site/have people post here; cos obviously they may see it a loss to them. Others may not be happy with moderators. The ONLY possible rationale for having this board is because it's different/serious/football-only etc. So not going to change the format of this site. And I presume that's why almost all the other QPR sites agreed to sign on as moderators. And to a degree, obviously having THE blog, detracts, because unlike other sites, where people go to WATRB or dot.org or LFW etc, to see if any news stories/revelations: For that will go to my blog. But I have no problem with everyone going to get additional posters So I have three choices: - One: Close down this site - Two: Make radical changes - Three: Continue as I am I could have continued with just the blog; which was doing very nicely in readership. Or even done this site in the form of another Blog. But if you don't try; you don't succeed.

Continue as you are, please. Mike Im not being critical but I think I understand why people arent posting. This is a disappointing year where we hoped for better things. there is a sort of Depression and sort of waiting for something big to happen. We are a small group but Im sure you have everyones vote of confidence, The blog is second to none and this can only grow. If at some later date you want to change format OK but DONT CLOSE DOWN!!!. But personally as a frequent poster I would like to ak all the members to do a vote of confidence post to Mike. and if they dont and just read the board there is unspoken admiration and confidence out there.

Please no vote of confidence. We're a football site. We all know what happens after a vote of confidence I'm not sure i share your analysis, unfortunately as to why people are not posting. But that's another question. Re the continuation of this site: As long as people at lead read this site -even if they mostly do not post - I'd imagine this site would continue. If at some point after a fair amount of time, it turned out that nobody even read it, then obviously would reconsider. But it will be a cold day in hell, and the keyboard will have to be taken from my cold dead fingers before I offer prizes or babes of the day; or having little cliques of posters posting re non-QPR. OK: So forget the vote of confidence: Just go out and get a few dozen posters. (Oh and no poster using more than one name )
