lopez ready to exit

JORDI Lopez is hoping to leave Swansea City during the January transfer window after admitting he is unhappy at the Liberty.
The Spaniard has found himself well down the midfield pecking order this term, making just five appearances under Brendan Rodgers.
And Lopez, signed on a free transfer following his release from Queens Park Rangers 18 months ago, feels he has no option other than to end his 17-month stint in South Wales.
The 29-year-old is out of contract this summer but, with competition from Darren Pratley, Mark Gower, Joe Allen, Andrea Orlandi, Kemy Agustien and David Cotterill for the midfield positions, Lopez admits his time is up at the club.
"I am only 29 and I can't be just going along every week in training and not making the squad," said Lopez, who is thought to be one of the bigger earners at the Liberty.
"I have around three years at my best to play and I'm losing time here. When you're not playing it is difficult to be happy.
"I think it's going to be very difficult for me to get an opportunity now because the season has moved on a lot.
"I would like to move in January because I want to play — and I can't see that happening here.
"I'm speaking to my agent already. I've also spoken to the chairman about my situation and I expect to move on."
Swansea would be unlikely to command a fee for Lopez, but should the former Sevilla player depart then the wages saved would free-up funds for Rodgers.
Lopez, who was Paulo Sousa's first signing during the Portuguese's reign, admitted he hadn't spoken to Rodgers about his role in the team, but said there was no rift with the Swansea boss.
"I don't really understand my situation. I don't think I can do much more to get into the team," added Lopez.
"I have done everything asked of me in training, but I don't get an opportunity.
"When I have played, it has only been a game here or there. But in that situation it is difficult to do your best and find form.
"The last time I played was against Derby (in October) and I did very well. After that, I was out again for no reason. Nothing was said to me.
"Myself and the manager haven't spoken about it.
"I am experienced in football and I know when someone doesn't rate you.
"I'm not sure if other clubs have shown an interest yet, but that is something my agent will deal with.
"It doesn't matter to me whether I play here or in Spain. Playing football every week is my priority."
