RIP - The way it's being phrased, and what's not being said, I guess one guess. But whatever/however, very Sad. I imagine if one looks at the clubs' messageboards, might find more. TELEGRAPH Dale Roberts, Rushden and Diamonds goalkeeper, dies aged 24 Rushden's FA Trophy first-round replay against Eastwood Town on Tuesday night was postponed following the death of goalkeeper Dale Roberts. By Telegraph staff and agencies The 24-year-old joined from Nottingham Forest in January 2009 and was an England C international. Chairman Gary Calder said in a statement: "It is with great sadness that this afternoon our England C goalkeeper Dale Roberts passed away. "Our thoughts and prayers at this time go to his parents, family and friends." A Forest spokesman said: "Dale was with us for several years and was enormously popular with his team-mates and coaching staff. "We are deeply saddened by the news of his tragic death. "Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time." Eastwood Town manager Paul Cox, who had Roberts on loan at Coronation Park earlier in his career, said it was "an absolute tragedy". "I was only speaking to him on Saturday and he was one of the nicest lads you will ever meet, as well as an excellent keeper," said Cox. "I have told Justin Edinburgh (Rushden's manager) that if there is anything we can do to help at this very sad time then he only has to ask." www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/8202512/Dale-Roberts-Rushden-and-Diamonds-goalkeeper-dies-aged-24.html

What a vile family of utter scumbags, not a moral fibre amongst the whole lot of them.
I did not think it were possible to hate them any more but I was wrong.

Having lost a fiancee in similar circumstances many, many years ago I know pretty well what Dale must have been going through. If it were not for two very good friends being there for me at a key moment I very well might not be here now.
Very sad.

That's not been said (that I've read).
But that's how I felt when I lost J to a rugby player. She was everything to me and I felt I couldn't go on without her.

Remember someone has taken their life here, so I think we should refrain from any of the usual jocular stuff & tabloid style responses about John Terry etc, would have expected a lot of the papers to have behaved with a little bit more dignity here as well, but who am i kidding ? Hugely upsetting & a massive waste of a life, I hope he has found Peace for himself. RIP
