Didn't they issue a denial re Ridsdale/Plymouth, a few weeks ago?
Plymouth STATEMENT
Posted on: Thu 25 Nov 2010
THERE has been speculation about the fact that Peter Ridsdale has been spending some time meeting with executives from Plymouth Argyle Football Club.
Peter has extensive experience in football and is just one of a number of parties that we have undertaken exploratory discussions with regard to potential future investment.
If and when there is anything further to add we will do so at the appropriate time.

INDEPENDENT
Pilgrims given winding-up orderPlymouth Argyle have been given a winding-up petition by HM Revenue & Customs. The League One side were presented with the petition last month, and have been summoned to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice on 8 December. The Pilgrims were previously issued with a winding-up order over unpaid tax last season. The club yesterday said they have been holding talks with former Leeds United chairman Peter Ridsdale over a potential investment deal. Argyle say Ridsdale is one of many interested parties, but admit they have held "exploratory discussions" with the 58-year-old. www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/pilgrims-given-windingup-order-2143914.

Not paid BBC Plymouth Argyle staff have not been paid Plymouth Argyle have confirmed that both playing and office staff have not received their salaries for November. Argyle face a winding-up petition from HM Revenue & Customs, and have until 8 December to clear their debts. A club statement said: "Following the publication of the winding-up petition our bank has taken the normal step of suspending our banking facilities. "The suspension will remain in place until the petition is dismissed or we obtain a validation order." The statement added: "We are taking urgent steps to make progress on both fronts." A validation order is granted by the court and validates payments made during the hiatus period of a winding-up petition, prior to a winding-up order being granted. The club recorded a £2.8m loss for the 2008/09 financial year and were previously issued with a winding-up order for unpaid tax by HM Revenue & Customs last season. Former Leeds and Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale was in Plymouth on Thursday holding talks with the Argyle board. On the pitch, Argyle sit 15th in League One, just three points above the relegation zone, and just 4,960 fans watched them beat Dagenham & Redbridge 2-1 last Tuesday, their lowest gate of the season. newsvote.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/p/plymouth_argyle/9242466.stm

Good luck to Plymouth... Plymouth Official Statement STAFF STATEMENT Posted on: Tue 30 Nov 2010 PLYMOUTH Argyle's full-time staff today issued the following statement: "FOLLOWING today's announcement that Plymouth Argyle staff have not received their November wages, a meeting was held that was attended by a majority of the club's full-time non-playing employees. "The meeting was unanimous in its support of Plymouth Argyle; everyone is, without exception, proud to work for the club and desperately wants it to succeed. "Therefore, nothwithstanding the non-payment of wages and the very real possibility that job-losses could result from the current position, everyone will do everything they can to help the club during this difficult period, until such time that becomes impossible. Every member of staff at the meeting expressed a determination to pull together and work as usual to their customary high standards to ensure that Plymouth Argyle carries on as normal. "The meeting also expressed 100% support for a speedy and appropriate resolution to the situation www.pafc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10364~2234144,00.html
