To repost what Isleworth reported on WATRB (And again apologies that I can't provide a direct link to WATRB) And obviously our best wishes of everyone on this board go to the Paladini Family. And a shared desire that the culprits should be caught. "Gianni's Wife" "Saw a couple of pictures this evening of Gianni's wife who has been badly beaten up during an attack on their house in the Midlands I am sure that all posters on both here and other sites wish her a speedy recovery and sincerely hope that this was not in anyway related to his position at the club regardless of what opinion you have of him and the family in general I know that his personal home details have been published online elsewhere on a couple of occasions and been promptly removed but may I stress that I am making absolutely no connection with this incident and I hope that what ever pond life made this attack are brought to justice ASAP " [ Monday Update: Message Fom Gianni Paladini (Posted on another thread by SM) ] qprreport.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=18138 ]

I too hope that Mrs Paladini has a speedy recovery. My sincerest best wishes to her. Hope the police get the guy asap.
Sadly far too many of these types of attacks from some F***tard happening these days.
This type of behaviour is not needed or wanted in society. Why cant a person cant just live a normal life without this sort of crap going on?
It's just so wrong wrong, wrong!

Beating up an older woman... Awful that that should happen to anyone, particularly someone who would have very limited ability to defend themselves, and no chance to teach the cowards a lesson.
Was it a burglary / home invasion? (that happened to my Grandmother - she was unhurt in the event but died a few weeks later, no longer feeling safe in her own home). Awful feeling.
Get well soon, a catch the ba$ trds.

Bastards. to do that to your late Grandmother, I hope they were caught. Mrs Paladini will not just suffer from the physical scars but the empotional ones too. They wont go away in a hurry either. Sadly the mutha F***ers who do this sort of shit have no conscience about the victim or how much it screws up their life and those of the other family members.
I hope the G-man is going to be ok. As a husband he will also be feeling like shit for not being there to help her.

An update from Joe Hylton on Petes site
"I saw Gianni after yesterdays match as I was standing outside The Springbok. He wasn't his usual self, by that I mean chatty and smiley. We had a brief talk about the game .... a very brief talk, and then he told me about the attack on his wife that happened on Friday at their family home. Now if I'm right Gianni didnt find out about this cowardly act until after the PNE game. His daughter by all accounts, phoned him and and then sent through photos of Olga to his phone ..... Gianni showed me a photo - Olga looks like she done ten rounds with Mike Tyson! Her face is a mess. Gianni told me that he was on his way back to the Midlands to see his wife as she had been discharged from hospital. I dont think any self respecting person would wish this on anyone, let alone for this type of disgusting act to happen to woman. I just dont understand the type of low-life(s) that would take part in such a stomach turning act! Totally back up your words above Beefy .... Both Kathy and myself wish Olga a speedy recovery and hope her and Gianni can get back to a normal way of life very very soon.
Joe & Kathy Hylton. "

Its a horrible thing to happen to anyone my mum was beaten up a bit when someone robbed her in her flat the day after we went up and as a family you never get over it. I met Olga a few times and she came across as a very nice woman and please god she gets over this and my thoughts are with her at this time.

Out here to curb this trend about 4 years ago, they introduced a new bill in Parliament called the Home Invasion Bill. It came with some serious jail time for anyone found guilty of it. Consequently they have actually dried up doing this for the most part. For once the politicians got it right.

Cheryl Gillan, MP for Chesham and Amersham, was very helpful after my Grandmother's ordeal, even raising the fact that extra police were needed in the House of Commons. Check Hansard, for anyone who is interested.
I very much hope the police can identify and incarcerate those who attacked Mrs. Paladini.
I have always thought that prison alone is insufficient deterrent to violent robbery, and that the perpetrator(s), when caught and convicted, should be required to make full restitution to their victims, including not just for property or money stolen, but medical costs, time lost from work, damage and pain and suffering. That might then make it a JUSTICE system, rather than a LEGAL system...

Perhaps all the various MB's should send a copy of their threads and I have seen them on several, to the club to be forwarded to the G-Man in the hope he and his wife can take some solace from the overwhelming support that fans have expressed. It might not be much but it is a clear message.

It's been a month: As far as I've seen, been no arrests as of yet

Now that is a shame. I would have hoped there'd have been some arrests in either case - Olga's or Bernie's. A bit disappointed that none have or that we have not been informed if any have. Would be nice to have them on remand in some cold dark cell at this time of year.
