On further reflection, this could be a way for Bernie to buy more shares and then shovel them into a hidden account for
Briatore. They smell a chance for promotion , and could be using hedge fund money to buy in, and see the promotion gold in them thar hills. But as like any prospectors, they will have to be lucky.

I don't think Bernies interested. I suspect it's a Fab/Bernie plot to up/better the price of the shares before selling to the Mittals. The next week or so is going to be interested. Just hope Warnock and the team dont get caught in the cross fire.

Welcome to the board Ali. You may well be right. However I'm not sure Mittal has any intention of increasing his share/controlling the club. If he wanted more control surely he would have increased his share by now?

Welcome Ali ! Whats been going on today ??Whats occuring ! Where did all this come from ! Well it could end up being an interesting week indeed next week ! One minute Briatores selling , then he's not , Mittal is going to buy more then hes not ! Now Bernies gonna buy what the heck ! Theres alot worse out there than Bernie thats for sure , ok hes eighty but he could give it a go for 4-5 years ! Much rather Bernie was involved more than Briatore or Paladini ! Not quite sure where the mittals involvement lies though ! Well quite interesting !

Saksensa as Chairman is surely in because the Mittals were running - or were set to run the club. Or were prepared to pretetend they were. So lets see what happens if Ecclestone really transpires....What happens to Saksena/Bhatia. And what happens to Gianni

Unfortunately i see gianni staying whatever as Bernie will want some sort of stability ! Might get Bernie running it with Flav still there and Palladini there . Maybe Mittal will buy a new club and Bhatia /Saksena run that ! Why would mital his son in law go now when we are top of the league unless there after a big big club? To many permutations yet , could come good , could get worse ? Bet Flavio is still there in some form though he wont cash in until we are in the Prem so he gets the Credability on his big CV. Like CPR s reference Berbie , he could do a good job , A sort of cross between Bernie and Barbie with blonde hair!

The "who knew what when" surely pales into Is it accurate? What does it mean? What effect will it all have.
And again, what impact - if any - can fans have - be it as cheerleaders for the new "regime" or skeptics trying to hold their feet to the fire - just possibly noting what's been said previously.

Reading all the reports on other messageboards it appears Bernie aquired this amount of the club 60% a few weeks ago ?? Did they not mention it as they thought it might affect team matters?? Or am i being naive!

So he bought out Caligula. Then what does The Imp do with the 60%? Blinds it back through pathways well never know about. Of course the Lackey stays. He will be with us until its time to run.

Looks like we would lose mittal his son in law and Saksena ! Unless Mittal stays and Flavio sells most of his which would be better for us all round! That we we could keep it all the same but Flav owns just a very small amount! Whatever scenario Mr P stays! Bet it dont get posted on the official ?

London i have heard it before today from three or four different people No idea why you feel the need to say anything about it being a poppy day.
The people who told me have no reason to lie.

Bet Brian Clough had the same problem.
Mr Clough, are you the one who asks other people to put rumours out about yourself saying they have no idea who you are, what you are doing, or why anyone would care?
No Madam, you're thinking of the girls blouses in the boardroom. I'm the one who won the League. Won it again. Won Europe. Won that again.
Oh, I remember. Glad we haven't got you.

What I have yet to resolve fully, in my own mind: Is it a mere difference of opinions? Obtusiveness? Or an effort to curry favour with - serve as the advocate for - whoever is (or is thought to be) in power at Loftus Road.

Finney. I certainly did not in any way infer that you had lied. You must admit in view of the endless stream of "highly improbable rumour" we are exposed to, that this might just look like another one.
Only you know if your sources are impeccable and that is a done deal. If you had looked at the rest of the thread which you probably didnt have time to do you would have seen that I also took the other side of it and then went about trying to understand the reasons why and possible outcomes.
I trust that by making your last comment that these sources are ITK and really so and that this will happen very shortly. Thank you for posting your link on this blogsite.

Too right mate, it's been practically every time he's opened his gob about us, he's stuck his foot in it. I for one don't see the "charm" in his his comments!

I think we could do alot worse than Bernie ! Not saying hes the best , openly come out withthat he'd rather support Chelsea than us and no great interest in football etc etc , but if it was between Bernie running things or Flav i would choose Bernie anyday ! Dont think he would be arranging the team sticking his nose in where its not welcome like flav did and may still do ! Rather have the people that are there , but there is a lot lot worse sharks and other asset strippers out there aswell !

That may be true...Forget the 80 years old, lack of stated interest in QPR or hopes for he club or other views...
But it was that we had Mittals. And seemingly Kingfisher billionaire. If Nodge is right, Mallya was literally on the point of signing, with done deal. And then BRiatore/Ecclestone changed plans. That's worrying.
Also WHY is Ecclesone doing this

Let's not forget the recent interview with Bernie, when he said his greatest asset to the club wuld be hs marketing abilty.
The Gand Prix seasom is now over, therefore his attention can turn to the Club, for whatever eason.
All those brought into the Club are within the Ecclestone network, with a Grand Prix due to kick off in India, everyone of them has a vested interest in that as well a the Club, he's the "ringmaster" of all that happens around him.
I don't see Bernie cutting anyone out of the Club, and for all that happens within the Club he'll be the driving force behind it, he's now got time on his hands and for our "fixer" this could be take off time; investment in January/new premises indentified.
Like him or not, he'll get things moving.
What's more the S**m lost today at home, things are looking up.

I have no great worries with Bernie and i dont think the fact hes 80 really come into it either ! If he has 5 years in that position , its probably about the average anyway ! Just have to see what develops !

Id prefer Bernie than the orange bloke any day. Bernie admits he knows nothing about football but says he is happy to lend a hand with the finances without interfering. Sounds like every club's perfect idea of a chairman.

Between Briatore (as he's been at QPR) and Ecclestone, I'd prefer Ecclestone. But I was hoping for Mittal/Mallya...
Nodge says was virtually done deal with Mallya. WATRB's Pete says Kingfisher deal never came close.

For what it is worth i try not to post ITK stuff as i don't want to look like a sad git at 41 who is on a hard on of look what i know and you don't. That kinda shite is not me.
I was told by some people that are not Rangers fans and then some that are and looks like it is true.
Now it could be Monday or next year.
The day the information came out on the ground and the fact some of our board had a charge on it worried me and i knew something like all of us was going on in the place of power at HQ.
I always felt if the Mittal family at any time last year and up until this August come have brought out Flavio and Co and took the club on and ran it forwards they could invest in the team, the fans, the youth and ground and out spend Man City and not make a dent on them, Yet it never happened our debts grow and grow and then teh news about a charge on the ground comes out.
I think the Son in Law has got the bug but that is where it ends i fear. Maybe one day we will see it happen but not yet it seems.
For Bernie i think it is a case of well someone has to take control and that is what this is. I think you can not Read into what he says he plays the media well and does not care about who he upsets.
It is hard to second guess what he wants to do with us or what the plan is. But he is Mr Business and one thing is sure there is a plan for us if it's good or bad who knows. One thing is for sure he will make big changes around the place.
This is QPR nothing is ever done the easy way keep that in mind always.

I appreciate your original posting Finney. Regardless of whether anything happens today or not. AFTER your post, suddenly it "came out" that some others "knew" re Briatore to Ecclestone shares...etc. So you did good
Re ITK the posts - They're appreciated. What's not appreciated are the "games" played by some (and the actions of those within the club who further such games)
As that very clever cartoon as few months encapsulated - and wasn't even made re QPR

Now what i dont understand is, if Bernie bought flav's shares months ago, why is flav still mouthing off to a mag saying his dream is to replace NW with Marcello Lippi if we get to the prem.
Surly the fat orange turd now has no say in the running of our club...........things still dont seem right.
