What's Warnock's track record in signing players from abroad? (Assuming that Warnock's the one making this signing - and assuming this is a real story going to happen)

You never know, he could turn out to be a "find" as was Faurlin. Only 26 has played 7 times so far far Norways senior team, and this year in 27 games scored 15 goals.

No-way. Very interesting message on the Nott Forrest board 12/10/10. from a Scandavian supporter. Quote. "Petter Vaagan Moen SK Brann. One on my wish list for Forrest, hard working winger, two feeted, great crosser, set pieces and a goal scorrer, AND today I HEARD that QPR is in for him -- we can get him for free in January -- Come on Mark Arthur. So it would appear discussions started last month.

Maybe not done deal?SPORT.Co.UK - QPR to rival Toon for Norwegian wing wizard Author: Nigel BrownPosted on:10 November 2010 - Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle United are in a battle to sign SK Brann left winger Petter Vaagan Moen according to reports in the player’s homeland. The 26-year-old is a Norwegian international and is in a similar mould to Blackburn Rovers midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen. Moen has gained a reputation in the Tippeliga for his crossing ability and dead ball capability which have seen the winger establish himself as one of the league’s top midfielders. The player is out of contract in December 2010 and can sing in January on a free transfer for any club with reports suggesting Newcastle United and QPR are the two clubs in talks with the Norwegian international with the player almost certain to quit his homeland in the next transfer window. www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/46586/QPR_to_rival_Toon_for_Norwegian_wing_wizard.aspx

Wikipedia doesn't count. I could add Beckham's name to the QPR Squad on Wikipedia!
I've internalized: If it's not on the QPR Official Site, it doesn't really count!

The bloke that runs the official site is the night watchman. He sleeps most of the time and if they forget to wake him up stuff just sits around.

I perfer to think he has so many bosses to worry about - and they have to sign off on whether something can be released. In the old days it was easier: They could just leak it on the Official Unofficial Site (or the Unofficial Official Site)

Hey guys,
His has had his best performance in the Brann jersey since he arrived from Ham-Kam (now in third tire in the norwegian league) a couple of years back. He was nicknamed Mjøsa's Beckham (Mjøsa a lake close to Hamar in Norway where Ham Kam FC plays), this because of a pretty good left foot crosser.
At qpr.no it's 50/50 when it comes to wanting him in QPR or not. He usually plays left midflield/ winger, but has this year been pulled in to central midfield. Which has resulted in 15 goals coming from outside the box and set pices (and prob. some tapins).
His form this year has resulted in him getting a place in the national team the last to encounters. And his picked out for our next friendly. He played in both of them, not sure if I played the whole game. From what I can remember he didn't do to bad or to well.
His pace isn't his asset, so i don't really see him working the wings under NW system and my opinion is that his not the same calibre as Faurlin. And since he now have excelled in that postion this year I belive he still would have a hard time to take it from Faurlin.
I'm no football expert, but a passionet supporter from Norway. So if it's so that he will join our great club I hope he makes my remarks to shame.
As I said earlier other norwegians qpr supporters have a different opinion.
Well, hope this got you a little more input about this last rumor.
Would at the same time thank you for the great atmosphere you provided in the game against Reading. This was my first game at Loftus Road. Met a few at The Green after the game as well. Great experience which means it wont be long til my next visit.

Hi jondoeman, No, I'm one of the ones that are a bit sceptic to what he can bring to QPR. I believe he's a decent baller, but I belive this is the first year that he has played realy well. But that is in the central position and I his not as good as Faurlin and he's not a typical defence midfielder so he wouldn't be challanging Derry. But then again, other people know more about football than me I hope he will show me wrong if he becomes a Ranger. At least we're not paying 1 million pounds for him like Brann did when they brought him to Bergen from Ham-Kam (Hamar). Yes, it was a cracking game. Unbelivable atmosphere. I was told this before I went and it was more than I dreamt of. My sences where shook. Tried to catch some of the goals on the camera, and I had the shot, but everyone where on their feet before the goal was in so I only got all the cheers and the players celabrating the goal afterwards Doesn't matter, I loved it.

Welcome Thorstein and thank you very much for signing up and giving us your input. Your opinions are very welcome and always remember, that is what football is all about, opinions. One man's greatest player on earth is another man's lazy useless git. ;D Great to have you on board.

Thx Cpr, Latest new from Norway and TV2. That's the chanel that broadcasts the PL in Norway. Petter Vaagan Moen passed the medical today at LR and wil sign a 2 1/2 year contract with npower championship league leaders tomorrow. Things are looking very good. We're close to agreeing the contract and we belive this will be great for Petter to develope into an even better player, quoting the Brann players agant Moren Wivestad to TV2 Sporten. Vaagans impressive 14 goals in the Tippeliga this year has promted interess from several european clubs this summer. Final the desition ended with going to the London-club with great/ rich club tradition. Mind the translation might be bit direct
