The stint originally was set to end after one week, but May, 17, was asked to stay for another week after impressing officials. Nick May, Off to Stint at Queens Park Rangerssoccerfla.com/2010/20100821.htm Nick May, Oviedo High School and Florida Rush standout, was invited to a 1-week stint at Queens Park Rangers (“QPR”) which started on August 9, 2010. Nick is 17 years old and plays for the Florida Rush U17 Florida State Champions. Prior to going to QPR, Nick was on a 4-week stint with the Argentine Club, Estudiantes.Currently, QPR sits 2nd in the Championship and is starting an early season push to gain promotion to the English Premiere League. Nick has trained well and has started to build a rapport amongst the QPR youth players. In addition, Nick played a full 90 minutes against Crystal Palace which is another big London Club that has developed a sound reputation for developing solid players through their youth ranks. The QPR youth team lost to Crystal Palace 2-1, but Nick had a string showing in Central Defense. On August 13, 2010, QPR requested at extension of Nick’s stay through August 24, 2010. The extension of the stint was necessary for the club to perform further evaluation. Nick has impressed on his stint and his team awaits the final decision of QPR.Very few U.S. based soccer players are provided with the opportunity to play for big European clubs, so if Nick is offered a position this would be a good achievement for soccer in the Florida/Central Florida Community. In addition, Nick would be one of a few foreign based players to play on the English Youth F.A. Cup. The stint was structured by Robert Chambers of London based Pro-Goals Sports Management.soccerfla.com/2010/20100821.htm
