City's youngsters are heading to the biggest youth tournaments in the world next month - thanks to the sponsorship of Wessex Garages.
Representative sides at Under-11 and Under-13 will travel to Gothenburg, Sweden for the famous Gothia Cup, before heading on to Copenhagen for the Denmark Cup.
An estimated 35,000 youngsters - aged between 10 and 18 - will descend on the second largest City in Sweden between July 18th and 23rd.
More than 1,600 teams from 65 different nations are scheduled to take part, and City will be amongst them.
Organiser Tim Kirk told bcfc.co.uk: "This is without doubt the biggest youth tournament in the world.
"Gothenburg becomes a home for young players for a week; the city is literally taken over by youngsters baring football shirts.
"Their hospitality and efficiency to organise such an event is incredible. Everyone is really looking forward to it."
Many years ago the tournament was graced by the likes of John Terry, Alan Shearer, Andrea Pirlo and Julio Baptista.
This year Real Madrid and Paris St Germain have signed up to take part.
The players will travel on to Copenhagen following the conclusion of the Gothia Cup for another major tournament in Denmark.
Wessex Garages, based on Feeder Road, are helping fund the trip through sponsorship. Visit wessexgarages.com for more information.
Only recently a host of youngsters from the club's Academy enjoyed a tournament in Amsterdam, hosting by giants Ajax.
