Hi.
Hope everyone had a cracking weekend.
Just had a gilmpse on Petes board. I see three posters whos views I like, HAQPR1963, Captain Clunge and Paladinoooo have all been banned!!! Why??? Think their opinions are very vaild. Its all just because of their views (and in my opinion rightly so) about GP. Isnt football all about opinions??? Ridiculous.
Anyway I see Adel has been linked for £5 million! Personally I would take the risk and buy him for that! Cracking player who oozes talent! Would you buy him for that?

i dont think its worth risking 5 mill on adel
tbh you can buy a decent chapionship squad plus the players we all ready have
i belive the guys have prob been banned because alot of paladini threads have started popping up on watrb to create a little traffic lol =)

Every board sets and posts its own policies re what's permitted to be posted; and what's grounds for "punishment" and banning. As does WATRB. Whether WATRB adheres to its self-proclaimed conditions for posting and what things it deems acceptible to post on its board; and what is not: Well people can judge for themselves. Unlike some boards, I don't try and prevent people posting links to another site - or G-d forbid, actually visiting it!
For those who visit WATRB, read through what Haqpr1963 posted, prior to getting banned. No abuse from him; no personal attacks. Just raising questions.
At the time of the WATRB ban on Haqpr1963 (and the others banned), Pete was running a poll on whether people should be banned. His "pro ban" vote was loosing (and the votes still show a majority against a ban). Then having asked, he ignored his own poll, and banned. Pete's prerogative. Just as it's this site' prerogrative to ban (which in extremis, has occurred). But it would be fascinating to hear an explanation for the haqpr1963 ban.
(Note: I of course was banned five time by WATRB in my posting career - I think in every case because Pete was displeased with things I posted on other boards; not for things I said on WATRB). I think in every case, the other moderators overruled him re my ban.]

people get banned for difference of opinion on watrb but its a selct of the mod team that seem like nazi mods as called on a day to day basis
this again is the reason i havent been getting involved with the polotics just aint worth it
besides that any one that has a voice and starts changing the general feel of the board
ie pro ------> anti paladini
will most likely find it very difficult to chat on that board

Surely moderators are appointed by the person or persons who own the site. Sure they may make decisions he disagrees with. But when those decisions are repeatedly made. And they continue to be moderators. Then presumably, one has to conclude that the moderators are acting within the wishes of the owners.
Personally, I am more than happy to be judged by the quality of the moderators of this site. Even though, contrary to a certain thesis put forward by one person, that doesn't mean that we agree on every matter regarding QPR.

mike you dont get judged that way because your opinion isnt forced on people and you dont make it personal?
the mods on watrb apart from "goodard" (who imo is a legend mod and needs to chat here) just seem to take things personal
and watrb mods are normaly friends of the mod team
its just the way they do things there

I understand, but the claim is also made: "It's not Pete. It's those terrible moderators doing things." Well yes they may be. But if Pete (and maybe Myu) felt that what the moderators were doing was not what he (they) wanted, I find it hard to believe he wouldnt tell them to stop acting that way. Now whether they are moderating "well" or "poorly" is a judgement call. But presumably Pete is happy with how his moderators are moderating. Otherwise change.

I wouldnt spend £1.5 Million on Taarabt, he hasnt got the mentality to be a successful Championship player.
With the right person spending £5 Million in this division ( IE not the crook ) you should be looking at play offs at least. ( players like Hooper & Speroni )
The usual laughable Mickey Mouse rumour, suppose it keeps the 16 year olds happy.

If we do have 5 mill to waste, waste it on Jason Roberts.

my point exactly why spend 5 mill on a player who didnt even set the ccc on fire last season just set alight a team underachieving for 1.5 we can get that easy

I'd waste 5 million on paying off One Size, Dave, Pelican, and Alberti's contracts first.

I'd waste 5 million on paying off One Size, Dave, Pelican, and Alberti's contracts first. Even before that: I'd waste (a very small part) on paying off the man responsible for there even being "One Size, Dave, Pelican, and Alberti's contracts" to pay off

Personally I would rather risk losing a tribunal than give GP any further money - I thinks he's had quite enough!

The line that explains it all is this one : We can issue a permanent ban at anytime providing the moderation team agree on highest votes and the the owners decision is final.www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49813So in other words, this is a democracy (unless you disagree with the owners....)

1] Taarabt = 1 Mill
2] Paladini = 50 pence
3] Those other players mentioned, give them "frees"
4] Goddard is a very good mod and poster from what I have read.

Since Pete can't post his response here, I'll do it for him! Ah but he does read our site! qblockpete on WATRB
Having a Quick Look On QPR Reports Site I have to laugh
Quote: Every board sets and posts its own policies re what's permitted to be posted; and what's grounds for "punishment" and banning. As does WATRB. You for your part are two faced and have an agenda. I am still banned from your site for having an opinion and qblockpete 2 is still to be activated You speak like a person who has some standards when in fact you have none.Your site will continue to be dead as dodo, until you allow people who have differences of opinion to have a say. This board banned people for being detrimental and sarcastic about the stuff we were trying to do and being continually arguementative, not for having a difference of opinion
By the way you have 1 mod too many Macmoish and qpr-report are the same person, you silly t,wit__________________ . www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/showthread.php?p=361342#post361342

To almost quote Gone with the Wind - Quite frankly I don't give a damn ... about what happens on WATRB.
I have no desire to visit that site and I really do not give a toss what Pete has to say. My opinions about Paladini, Briatore & co - as well as my opinion about a m/b that becomes the mouthpiece of a prominent person at QPR - are well documented on this and other QPR sites, and I don't care whether somebody on the above site agrees with my views or not.
So why bother writing countless threads about that website and those users? There are a helluva lot more interesting things to write about on this m/b.
By the way, I think 5 mill would be a waste on AT. Sure he is talented but I don't think he was worth a fifth of that price - far less 5 mill.

Unlike some others, Nodge is a little bit more reliable and he's saying on WATRB that QPR actually have agreed to sign Taarabt with some cost details remaining
