Chief Executive David Davies is delighted to confirm new investment in the Club and is looking forward to more in the very near future.

Speaking in an extended interview, now available to QPR World subscribers, Davies spoke of his pleasure in welcoming Moorbound Ltd, Gianni Paladini and Azeem Malik to QPR.

He said: "Moorbound were hoping to retain some confidentiality until the end of the season, but following speculation in the press, the Board have decided to confirm the investment.

"They have taken a substantial stake in the business and with Gianni's experience in football, it should be a great aid to us.

"They bring skills to the table and Nick, Ian and I are looking forward to working with them."

Davies also confirmed that negotiations are continuing with two parties regarding further investment and also reflected on speculation regarding the arrival of a new rugby club at Loftus Road.

Newspaper stories suggested that a Club based around the South African community may come in to being and Davies confirmed that discussions have taken place.

He said: "We've had conversations about the potential for groundshare. There is a domestic market here (for a South African rugby team) and it is an interesting discussion.

"There is a long way to go, but the club wants to use the ground as much as we can. Just watch this space."

OLLIE: EXCITING TIMES

Rangers Boss Ian Holloway admits that he is looking forward to the Club making real progress under Bill Power's Chairmanship.

Ollie has begun intense preparations for Rangers' Coca Cola Championship campaign and believes that Power's appointment will enable the Club to continue the good work already begun by the Directors, players and staff.

He said: "I'm looking forward to having a lot more to do with Bill. He's always been there for us and I can't thank him enough. It's exciting, he'll have plenty to learn, but his heart's in the right place and I can only see us moving forward."

Ollie offered cautious optimism ahead of the new season and whilst he knows he won't necessarily be able to go out and buy all the players he would like, he is very confident that the squad he has at his disposal will do a good job if called upon.

He said: "We've stopped players losing matches and we've stopped overpaying. Now we need to wait and see how they respond (to playing at a higer level).

"We've got two or three players out of contract who we haven't agreed deals with yet, but hopefully that will be done in the next couple of weeks.

"We have the nucleus of a good squad and although we're looking at other players, we're not going to add too much.

"We're not just going to throw money at things and although I'm aware of the expectations, things take time and I'm glad to still be here to help this Club move forward."

Ollie also discussed the new coaching structure at Loftus Road and the role of Loftus Road consultant Gianni Paladini - a man that Ollie is looking forward to working alongside.

He said: "Our scouting network has done well, but with our financial restrictions we haven't been able to go abroad.

"But Gianni has vast experience and he will be able to put me in touch with people and take me abroad. I have to find quality players and broaden our horizons.

"I have also put a structure in place where we will now have coaches for the forwards, midfielders and defenders and our players will be improved day in, day out.

"I will announce who will be taking these roles in the next few days - but I have hand picked the people and it's something I've wanted to do for ages.

"I'm entrusting it to some fantastic people who will be there for my players. I'm tapping their excellence and if I was a player again, I'd be loving this."
