Put into a slightly different perspective though, if you take away his 5 goals in his first 2+2 appearances for Watford you're left with 5 goals in his last 23 appearances which isn't quite as impressive.

But in our case it was more than the goal/match ratio. He was the only real target player we had and gave us a lot more tactical options.

But Bathranger makes a good point. That splurge of goals at the beginning skews the stats. Kind of like four dealer, Pat Agyemang.
