What happenned to this player.. Remember all the will he wont he over summer?? He is a stalwart for Latvia and has made 17 appearances. Anyone know? is he injured?. Is he on Dowies misery list? He has only played three games this year. Why the enormous effort to get him??

I think he is just down the pecking order.
When he came on against Norwich he played a blinder and was my MOM.

Could ask that question about a lot of our signings. Obviously only 11 can play. But quite a number scarcely seem in contention. Don't know whether that says something about the person bringing in the players (which ain't Dowie) or about the manager - or a combination of the two. The irony is that we kept being told on the boards that Dowie made some bad signings at his previous clubs...Well...!  And re Gorkss: Was he worth getting reported to the Football League over? |

I think Gorkss was a good signing and very good value.
Nowe have 4 decent centre backs at the club which is a good thing as we know all about key defenders getting injured at crucial times.
Two that spring to mind are Clarke Carlisle's which IMO sealed our relegation and Crainie's admitedly on loan but we weren't the same without him.
