NOT Happiest: As in winning promotions, etc, but proudest.
Offhand: - Winning the League Cup in 1967 - Being only the second team to go from the Third to the First in succesive seasons. - Rodney Marsh being a QPR Player - Rodney Marsh being picked for England as a QPR Player - Having three QPR Players in one England game - Having six current/ongoing England players at QPR - Having Stan Bowles as a QPR Player - Almost Winning the 75/76 Championship by playing great football - In the early 1970s in Div II and Div I, playing good football - "Punching Above Our Weight" - Having Terry Venables as Manager - Gerry Francis as England Captain - Being innovative: The first TV ad; the first plastic pitch; the plan to put a roof over Loftus Road. - Buying gems from the Lower Divisions... - Still as a "smaller" team doing well under Gerry Francis.. - Picking up the bargains and the frees - such as Ray Wilkins

When Terry Venebles led us out onto the pitch at the old Wembley: The image of the blue and white hoops walking across the running track area onto the pitch with Currie leading the way to a great performance from the 'underdogs' will be cherished forever. The feeling of nerves and wonder as I stood there watching it has stayed with me to this day.

We did. Red shirt, black shorts and socks. However when we came out of the tunnel we had Blue and White hooped tracksuit tops on. You can buy a replica down the 'megastore'. Do you have a proudest moment Bushman? Apart from the time you wrongly tried to correct someone on a messageboard. (After the last 3 home games I am officially in a bad mood!)

Bushman - Sorry about the terse reply. It was a bit like the straw that broke the camels' back. Let me explain: This season has been one of total frustration for me. Firstly I was turfed out of my seat to make way for the C-Club. I've been going for 30 years and loved that seat. Perfect view. In order to buy a seat this season relatively close to where I was sitting I was told that it would cost £3000! Unbelievable. More unbelievable is that I paid it! Now for that type of money this season has not been 'value for money boutique football' that I was promised. Lacklustre signings and inept performances. I do not feel part of the QPR family anymore, a tight knit group of foolhardy souls who support the team passionately and are in it together through thick and thin. Instead I feel like a customer who is being ripped off because I can't return the goods in exchange for another. I am QPR and will always be. I've no choice but to like it and lump it. The frustration at poor performances by the club on and off the field built up until it exploded in my mind when Helguson had a shot yesterday that went out for throw-in. (How long's his contract?) On the way home I actually looked forward to looking at the messageboard and this thread in particular as other proudest moments would have cheered me up. Instead I find my proudest moment being questioned in an offhand manner. Did not make me happy, so I fired back that reply. Sorry for the rudeness of it and apologies for the above rant as well. I'm off to save up for next seasons rip off, sorry, I mean season ticket.

The 82 Final was amazing. The walk to Wembley as a 12 year old wearing my QPR panel cap, shirt, flag and scarf (I must have looked like the clubshop window!) and seeing Rangers fans stretching back as far as the eye could see. We outplayed Totting-Ham and Micklewhites wrongly disallowed goal should have given us the cup. It was a truly great moment and one I will never forget but perhaps slightly wasted on this 12 year old as at the time I didn't realise what a rare thing a cup final was. For me the proudest moment was the Anfield Semi in 86. QPR beating the the mighty Liverpool over 2 legs. It still raises the hair on the back of my neck even now when I think about it. 2 OGs, saved penalty, the famous Kop was well and truly silenced that day and we partied all the way back to London. Happy days
