Blocky, running under 2 hours would be a great target / achievement in a Half Marathon.
Not easy, it will be tough, maybe very tough depending on fitness, but if you show a bit of backbone ( unlike Scott Jones "performance" in the London Marathon ), then I think it is achievable.
Dont just settle for getting round, go on the attack, lay all your cards on the table, the worst that will happen is that you will blow up, but at least you can say that you gave it a go & didnt mug yourself off / bottle it.

thanks KLR, I will push to get as close to 2 hrs as possible, but have been advised that a 14 stone at 5' 8" 'lump' is not constructed for running I am doing a short training run weds/thurs then thats it, stomp stomp stomp!

Good luck Blocko Remember to give it your best shot & not to mug yourself off like Scott Jones, you might not think that you are built for it, but I reckon you can get down close to 2 hours if you give it your best shot on the day.

Well I done it!
I finished in 2hrs7min40s!
was A little disappointed that I did not get closer to 2hrs, but have raised money for MS and that is thanks to you guys as anyone, and thanks to you all for your support, and to report for sticking this for so long and including this in his blog.
It was a wet and cold start but soon forgot that when I was in the groove, my legs were going at 11 miles but still managed to sprint to the finish to get under 2hrs 8.
thankyou.
