The body of a soldier from London killed in Afghanistan has been returned to Wootton Bassett. Lance Corporal Thomas Keogh, of 4 Rifles, was killed by a gunshot wound during a small arms engagement in Sangin. Stuart Keogh, the uncle of L/Cpl Keogh, said of the 24-year-old from Paddington: "He was loved by all the family and we are very very proud of the job he did to protect our country." The repatriation service was held for five servicemen killed in Afghanistan. All died in the space of six days this month. A private service was held at the base's chapel before the Union flag-draped coffins drove past the war memorial. Relatives placed flowers on top of the black cars, as has become tradition. www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55268

RIP Tom.
Would be nice to maybe see the club do something here, if it is in any way appropriate.

To be honest, I'm not sure how things work in these circumstances or whether it is indeed appropriate, but if it is appropriate, & QPR meant a lot to Tom Keogh, then we should pay tribute to him as a club & as fellow fans, we should remember his sacrifice, one of us. RIP

RIP Tom, and once again maximum respect for the good people of Wooton Bassett. If I had my way we would increase taxes so we could buy Tony Blair a nice retirement home on Wooton Bassett High Street so we could make the ****** watch every one of those young heroes come home. Perhaps he might learn something from that, but I very much doubt it........
