Always thought he was treated shabbily by QPR (both of his departures). But what's new with that? BBC - Linfield v Glentoran Alan McDonald expects a tough test against Linfield on Boxing Day Glens boss Alan McDonald wants the JJB Sports Premiership leaders to bounce back in style in the Boxing Day clash against the Blues at Windsor Park. Linfield closed the gap to five points after Glentoran slipped to a 2-1 home defeat by Ballymena on Saturday. "We'll be looking for a a reaction from the players in the Big Two game on Friday," said McDonald. "The form book goes out the window - it's about who can handle the pressure and the atmosphere on the day." Defending champions Linfield are well placed for another title assault but David Jeffrey's side has struggled at times this season. "You have to give Linfield respect - people might say things about them at the minute but they are still a very good team and there's a good squad of players at Windsor," added McDonald. "We're top of the league but that is not worth anything until the business end of the season. "The atmosphere at the Big Two games is fantastic and they are the matches you want to play in if you are at either club. "It's a massive game and they don't come any harder than this."
