About beefing up their squad: The very promising McGoldrick, the signing of Anderson from Liverpool who I really liked when he played at our place. Camp McKenna whose a decent player Adebola who will give them options upfront & possibly Blackstock www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1200265/Chris-Gunter-heads-Forest-loan-Tottenham.html?ITO=1490Chris Gunter, 19, is back at Nottingham Forest on a season's loan. The Tottenham and Wales defender enjoyed a successful term at the City Ground last season and becomes Billy Davies' fifth new face of the summer. Preston midfielder Paul McKenna, 31, could become the sixth after Forest agreed a £750,000 fee.

I fancy them for a play off spot even if they don't get Gunter.

Forest mean business & look like they could be amongst the big hitters next season. Either way, another team that will be finishing above us.

Or a 2 million pound signing! Forest set for Gunter capture Friday, July 17, 2009, NOTTINGHAM Forest have agreed a £2m deal to bring Spurs defender Chris Gunter back to the City Ground. And his capture could be the first of several signings over the weekend. The Welsh international full-back's move – which also includes further potential add-on fees in the future – is expected to be officially confirmed today. Forest had seemed unlikely to agree a permanent move for the 19-year-old, with Spurs thought to be demanding £3m. But an agreement has now been reached to bring Gunter to the club on what is expected to be a four-year contract, following his successful loan spell at the end of last season. And the Reds should also take a step closer to the capture of midfielders Paul McKenna and Radoslaw Majewski in the next 24 hours. Forest boss Billy Davies will meet with Preston skipper McKenna, 31, for talks today, after the two clubs agreed a £750,000 fee. Agreeing personal terms on what is understood to be a three-year deal, should be a formality, as McKenna is thrilled at the prospect of linking up with his former boss. While Forest are also close to finalising Majewski's move from Polonia Warsaw. Polish sources indicate a season-long loan of the 22-year-old on loan could be ratified today, with a potential future fee of £1.5m if Forest want to sign him permanently. One player Forest will have to up the ante for if they want to sign him is Coventry City defender Danny Fox. The Sky Blues yesterday rejected a third offer, of just under £2m, for the 23-year-old left-back – who they value at closer to £3m. But, with Davies keen to add another full-back to his squad, Forest may yet make another bid. www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/sport/Forest-set-Gunter-capture/article-1174913-detail/article.html
