Not much hope with Dykes the only one up front. Hopefully wrong.

Totally waste of time when one can use left back crossing for right back to score.... Eh..

II would give up betting if I were you Rangersman Great first half, like Saturday, three goals and none from a striker, maybe Dykes can get one in the 2nd half.

This is another competent display. Getting decent game time into the subs as well.
Dykes still works as hard as ever. When he does eventually score it’ll be cathartic!

As against Watford, today we dominated with very highly positioned defensive line. With this, our midfield and attack was suberb in first half. Second half when leading 3-0 and with lowered defensive line, it looked more conservative and careful...
We have players which fit use of such high defensive line. Most importantly goalie, who is able to play with feet and is very good timing his rushing outs... plus pacey enough defenders and hard working midfielders to ease the pressure.. There is risky moments in a game and linesmen are in crucial role with such a tactic. However, i am confident that more we play with this style, more we will get used to it and defenders know better what to expect. (so does opposition attackers)
Again, 10mins without striker in second half and our opposition is clueless... For final 10mins Armostrong in to cause some havoc. At least interesting management with great results, if not more!
Come on URs!!!!

With the chances we create, if you put Cameron Archer in that lineup this is probably an automatic promotion chasing team.

Haha brilliant but I wouldn’t get too carried away 😁 I think Dykes is still a handful and headache for defences so he is contributing to making gaps for the midfield That high press has just appeared and it’s gonna get found out by teams. I’d expect there will be times that senny gets exposed as the pacey opposition strikers will run on to balls over the top of the high defensive line

it should have been a clean sheet as Hull goal was clearly offside but wasn't given by linesman on that side , I thought he gave a lot of dodgy decisions the whole game but never picked up on that , anyway no point on dwelling on it let's not take the gloss off of such a great team performance well done everyone Urrrrrrs

The only downside of last night was Dykes not scoring again. Dykes realky needs to be doing better, his chance against Blackpool was ridiculous and this one last night nearly as bad. Hoping we sign someone else this week. Realise he does a lot of hold up play but so did Austin and it never stopped him hitting the back of the net.

The Dykes miss was incredible. He so badly needs a goal - but great to hear the crowd getting behind him last night. Sometimes it is interesting to see the difference between the on-line supporters and those who attend. He got a standing ovation when he left the pitch - as did Chair. The experiment of playing Johansen behind Field did not work. Since they reverted to their natural positions, we look a different midfield and side. Mind you, that back pass from Field.......

Hoping we sign someone else this week. Realise he does a lot of hold up play but so did Austin and it never stopped him hitting the back of the net. Totally agree Harr but I do feel really sorry for him and hope he can turn it around. Dykes has 2 contenders for miss of the season already. Last night he seemed to switch off after the first cross was cleared and did not expect the ball back at his feet and from that point is like panic "what do I do now" - but he must start taking those chances. His confidence must be so low and his brain scrambled plus talk of Archer probably does not help, but he does make space for the midfield. The question is how can Beale install some goal scoring confidence in him - just keep playing him and hope he plays through it, or have a chat give him a rest and tell him to come back in a couple of weeks for a fresh start. Strange but I think I read it was a Sheff Utd striker who scored his first goal for 30 odd games at the weekend but they kept playing him, so I think we will stick with Dykes unless Archer arrives. Otherwise another good all round performance with Chair and Willock showing they are heading for the 10 to 15 goals each that we need - just need a striker to do the same. Hoping now that we can hang on to those key players until the window closes as their last few displays must be catching the eye of some PL strugglers. Our new full backs look like they have settled and will be good additions. At 3-0 we took our foot off the pedal a bit I thought but maybe that was down to the many subs - the right move to rest a few and keep key legs working for the next game. If we had taken the chance for 4-0 maybe we would have gone on to something big. Annoyed about the offside Hull goal. Should have been a confidence boosting clean sheet. Everyone says it does not matter - sorry but this league is so tight that decision may, come the end of season, determine a promotion, play-off or relegation for one team or another on goal difference. Every wrong decision can have an impact, be it a managerial sacking, loss of 2 or 3 points or even promotion or relegation. If we had lost to that goal last night this board would rightly be up in arms so no reason to just accept it because we won.

We was lucky that Dykes miss did not cost us last night but who’s to say had he not missed the Blackpool one, we win that game. Anyhow, it’s great the fans are getting behind him but if it continues like this , he will have to get dropped for a while. Very pleasing to get back to back wins though, a good week, also Millwall lost again 👍 Willock and Chair on good form , the lad from Man U , looks like a good Man U loan signing, about time…… With the players we have coming back from injury and new defender we just added, season looks like it could be a decent one. Pleased for Beale that he got 6 points this week, he must have been very frustrated after watching the Blackpool and Rotherham games and us not taking chances.
