Luke Freeman starts for Luton McNamara only a sub for Millwall. Hugill only a sub for Norwich. Tyles Dickinson making his home debut in goal for Wycombe (released by QPR 12 months ago)

Defence still looks dodgy to me, and lacking in the final third. We shall see, but its as you were at present.

1-0 at the half. Could have been worse. Our new manager must sort things out. (I hope)

We have not had one shot on goal. Neither have we had a corner. Troubling.

Lol, meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Only kidding, one game means nothing but we were dire, and he needs to admit that.

We were very poor. Looked like we’d never played together before and our passing was poor. No goal threat whatsoever either.
Only one game, but we have to play way, way better than that. Beaten by a wonder strike of a goal, but still…….
Glad I am going out tonight so I’ll avoid the inevitable Twitter meltdowns.

Yep poor first game not a single shot on goal , didn’t even need a goalkeeper. Blackburn in total control, don’t think we even had a corner. Without Willock our team is pretty devoid of ideas and as soon as opposition scores I’m never confident we will even get a goal back. If Dykes is our main man this year heaven help us but to be fair his service ain’t great. Expected a bit of a turn around at half time from the New Managers team talk but it was a case of just the same as second 45. Performance 👎👎

To be fair we haven't strengthened at all. Lack of transfers is going to cost us. I assume this is budget related so get used to it. Beale has no chance, the knives are out already, after one game🤣

Well we were looking to spend money on a Millwall RB, I would looking at that rubbish today spend it on a forward as we have to score some goals, there not coming from Dykes and you can’t expect a youngster to get them all. Get a loan striker in. It always seems to be the QPR philosophy that if we buy a player, oh well we spent 2 Million on him, of it looks bad on us if we drop him, we will play him every week even though he can’t score for toffee.

I predicted 7th place. Changed it to 17th. 27th would put us in the next division. It could happen.

I was at the game. I thought we played some reasonable football in midfield areas and in general our defence appeared organised. We certainly did not deserve to be behind at half time. In the second half we faded somewhat and Blackburn(who were not that good)looked comfortable holding on to the lead for the the 1-0 win
Now for the bad news. We were inept powder puffs up front and not likely to punch our way out of a paper bag. As I feared and anticipated the proven failures of our so called strikers Bonne Thomas plus the very often off form Dykes moved into the bleedin' obvious category. This is not a rushed verdict on my part.
Austin and Gray may not have been the players they once were but they are better strikers than we currently have on our books. They should have stayed.
Yes only the first game for sure but at present not looking good in the ball in the net dept. folks. Lets hope for improvement and the signing of a decent striker.
Ps I believe our manager stated post match that we lacked a cutting edge...Well you don't say!

Yes for all our hard training, few had played 90 minutes in pre-season, but at least he used 5 subs to try to liven it up. However, Albert went some time before even touching the ball when he came on and I dubt Thomas is ever going to score a first class goal for us. Hopefully, with the return of the three missing players and some new recruits.....
