From a Leeds fan
Yes decent. I can see him getting 20+ goals in the champ. Needs a bit of confidence and a run up front, his best position I feel.
He’s played a few games in prem for us however just falling short of the mark, however still young and a lot of potential.

Well let’s give the kid a chance, we’ve had Connor Washington so in terms of fans don’t expect much To be fair Charlie didn’t get many goals last year , neither did Dykes. Wasn’t Gray top scorer with about 9 or 10.

This feels different to Boone, Washington etc as he has Prem experience, scored goals despite playing as a sub most of the time. I think given a run of games he could be pretty good. Not building up my hopes or expectations but as harr says, lets give him a chance.

As ever, it depends on whether your glass is half full or half empty. Half Empty - Unlikely to be the answer to our need for goals / goal scorer He is not ours, and will not be unless we get promoted Leeds fans happy to see him leave Half Full We are desperate for some pace and he has bags of it He is similar to Andre Gray, playing off the shoulder - but without the attitude. Roberts needs a run of games and can improve - he is young enough The quoted £4m is probably only in certain circumstances - there is always a negotiation to be had. Neither clubs have confirmed the option to buy / price. We cannot afford to buy someone of Robert's pedigree, so this is a low risk option. Loans with an option to buy are far more preferable than without Fits the narrative of the new management - can play in several positions
The positives outweigh the negatives....

Half full for me. From the Leeds fans I have spoken to they rate him but say he isn't premiership quality YET.

He would have to have 1 leg to be worse than Bonne

It would be good to give the guy a chance before casting judgement.
Interesting that in 2019/20 our joint top scorers in all competitions were Hugill and Wells - both loans and neither played a full season or they would have made it to 20. Last season top scorer was Gray - another loan who only played 28 league games and many of those from the bench.
So the fact that Roberts is a loan is of no concern to me. He is young and quick and has experience in a promotion winning Championship side and in the PL - I find it difficult to understand how we could make a free or cheap signing of someone of similar profile.
Yes his scoring rate has not been that great but in his first season in the PL as a developing player that is not unexpected and if he had knocked in twice as many goals for Leeds he would not be heading our way now. We should also consider that while he is described as a striker joining us he did also play as an attacking midfielder, not as an upfront striker. He has had a history of a couple lengthy injuries that slowed his development but seems to have put those behind him recently.
So he is young, quick, hungry to play, learn and develop and if Beale is good as they say at developing talent he could be just what we need this season and put some pressure on Dykes to up his game and probably will lead to Bonne's departure.
Therefore a decent signing in my book but only time will tell - I just hope the fans are patient and give him time to settle and develop and not get on his back after 3 games. The fact that his signing is already being questioned by some is not encouraging for him. The worst that can happen is that he will not be as good as hoped - but then he will be gone at the end of season or even in January.
We need one more striker now and I would not be adverse to seeing Wells back and a partnership of his experience with Roberts could work well. Having said that I doubt Bristol will do us any favours and let him come without a decent transfer fee.

He sounds good to me, especially given Beales track record with improving the younger players. Bring him on say I
