Spurs Statement The Club can today announce that Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff Joao Sacramento, Nuno Santos, Carlos Lalin and Giovanni Cerra have been relieved of their duties. Chairman, Daniel Levy, said: "Jose and his coaching staff have been with us through some of our most challenging times as a Club. Jose is a true professional who showed enormous resilience during the pandemic. On a personal level I have enjoyed working with him and regret that things have not worked out as we both had envisaged. He will always be welcome here and we should like to thank him and his coaching staff for their contribution." Ryan Mason will take First Team training today and a further update will follow in due course. www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2021/april/club-statement/

Rumours that Mourinho was against ESL so was sacked but it seems that the Spurs supporters are glad to see the back of him whatever the reason.

Rumours that Mourinho was against ESL so was sacked but it seems that the Spurs supporters are glad to see the back of him whatever the reason. The Chosen One has perfected the art of signing lucrative contracts, having one decent season, failing miserably - and then banking huge payoffs for him and his coaching team.........then starting the cycle once again. Watching Spurs play this season has been dreadful, but another big name will sign him up - Juventus maybe? The mugs are the boards who keep hiring him, I am sure he remains the Chosen One with his bank though.

Third Prem league team to dispense with Mourinho. Man U are doing so much better without him.

I heard a football journalist here in Australia say that Mourinho had earned £95 million from payouts alone. Beggers belief!

Daniel Levy felt that many good players would leave if Mourinho wasnt sacked.

You couldn't make it up... Jose's last 6 clubs: C helsea I nterrR R eal C helsea U nited S purs and all of those were going to join the European Super League. Given the timing of his departure maybe Jose told Levy where to stick his super league ! It will be interesting to see which managers are willing to take over at any of the aborted ESL teams - but money talks so I assume there will be the usual candidates.

.....and straight into a three year contract with Roma!!!!! Absolutely incredible..... probably already scheduled his Roma payoff on his cash forecast with his bank manager.
