www.theguardian.com/football/2021/mar/06/football-index-customers-furious-market-crash"thousands of customers with money trapped in Football Index, the self-styled “stock market of football”, have reacted with fury to significant changes to the site’s terms and conditions, which prompted the latest in a series of crashes in its market when the site reopened for trading at 7am on Saturday. The Observer reported in January that Football Index, shirt sponsors of Nottingham Forest and QPR, had suffered a series of price crashes on its exchange, where users can buy and sell “shares” in footballers and receive “dividends” based on their performance." Thank u Marc for telling me.. Maybe Guardian link will work. Papers shopping prominent photos of QPR shirts in their stories...

Not very lucky with sponsors are we? Second year running our sponsor has not made it to the end of the season (Royal Panda) and Dryworld before that. But the biggest offers for shirt sponsorship flows from gambling companies preying on the vulnerable. Think it is only a matter of time before all such shirt sponsorship is banned - following the example of cigarette advertising. Nice that we have a local building company now, and a lifelong QPR supporter to boot, but I would guess that the club has taken quite a big hit through this. I still have my old Binatone shirts somewhere! However, most of the old replica shirts have names that are now meaningless....except Guinness and we have had 4 airlines, who of course are all struggling now as well. 37 years of shirt sponsorship and yet if feels far more recent than that. Our longest sponsors at 4 seasons were Ericsson and Air Asia. Our 21 prestigious list of Shirt sponsors are listed below. Interesting to see the decline in the quality of sponsor:
Senate Bespoke
Football Index
BetUK
Royal Panda
SMarkets
Air Asia
Malaysia Airlines
Gulf Air
CSF
Compaq
Ericsson
JD Sport
Binatone
Car Giant
Computer Solutions
Classic FM
Brooks
Influence
KLM Holland
Blue Star
Guinness
