What a history. Spent 38 years in first division and Prem. Won one FA Cup. Things went haywire when they were demoted finishing way down in the leagues and losing their stadium. Know many of you can add to this Saga, they were mercilessly bombed by the Luftwaffe in WW2. The town not the club. Then theres the phrase. "Im sending you to Coventry" no longer talk to you ever. Origin? So now they have worked ther way back in to the Championship and we go there next Friday night.

They just avoided relegation that many times that the phrase "If the Titanic had been painted sky blue, it would never have gone down!" was spawned.

Appallingly mismanaged club - think when they moved to the Ricoh, which they didn't own, they needed 20k through the door each match to break even. Absolutely mad. Think we were the first league game hosted there, remember us getting beat and the concourse had exposed wiring and all sorts as they'd rushed to finish. Jimmy Hill was singing on the pitch before KO and recall being confused by the fights breaking out after (either this or the season after followed the Copa de Ibiza where it had all kicked off during the summer).
I'm glad things are looking up for them now, albeit still without a ground to call their own. Fans have been through the ringer.

Watched highlights of there game and wonβt be an easy game .. a lot of attacking intent! Got to give them credit and not just park the bus.

I wish that they'd bring back the railway track tops, that was a good kit and the brown version was a bad one.

I don't think I'd ever had the chance to be in the upper, only time I'd been was the '96 Eoin Jess game and vaguely remember being sat in a side stand. Do remember the awful feeling of coming out the ground and knowing we were done for.

I liked Highfield Road although the view was not great from the upper level behind the goal. Never jumped up so may times in a game to see what was happening in the goalmouth below. - anyway I think we are playing them at Brum on Friday aren't we? Still homeless after all these years - could turn that into a song (over 55's will understand) I think you would be surprised how many under that age are Paul Simon fans! I saw him at Wembley in 2006 expecting to be one of the youngest in the crowd, only to find I was about the oldest! It was full of 20 year olds who knew the words of every song. Anyway, back to Coventry. Hopefully they will play their full team at Gillingham tomorrow night!

Again, I'm in my early 30s and know the words of loads of Paul Simon songs from the back of my parents' car. Still listen to him, lots of my mates do too!
