It was rather an overwhelming vote to end the season now with unweighted PPG deciding the outcome. Eighteen clubs in favour.
Ipswich did put forward two proposals that would have seen them included in the play offs:-
1) Extend the number of teams in the play offs to include all clubs down to the position Ipswich were in.
2) Base the final table on the results from when the clubs first played each other this season.
They did try! Evans even seems surprised he didn't get the support of other clubs!

Think Ipswich were pushing it, but Peterborough had a better case, but once they conceded it was game over. The League 2 Play-off is on the 29th June so they need to crack on with the semi finals now.

Rather like Nigel Pearson at Watford, who came out and said it would be 'irresponsible' to complete Premier League fixtures. Guess what, they're 4th from bottom and only out of the relegation zone on goal difference - what a surprise...

There is no right answer for this though is there ? If someone outside the top 3 win all 9 games in the championship come through go up and Leeds don't win a game drop down. its safe to say there going to protest the league should of stopped.

I agree that there never was a soloution to this unique situation. But interesting outcome. The Coventry fans have suffered so much from their glorious Wembley outing to the depths of homelessness. So a tremendous achievement by Robbins. They are still talking about their own 20k stadium, a return to their former home, or just carrying on indefinitely at St. Andrews. But their fans have travelled in numbers to away games throughout. So I am pleased for their fans. Rotherham - yoyo club putting WBA to shame for the title. But I can still remember their disastrous last away run to be ended at QPR in a truly awful game and result. So, if they only win 2 games next season, we know who it will be against. But full marks to them for the constant rebuilding and selling of stars. One day they will get to play Barnsley in the league, their biggest challenger for yoyo club. Playoffs - Fleetwood - another amazing developing club. Barton boasted in his recent interview that they are light years ahead of QPR in terms of their development structure et al. I have no wish to see Barton achieve anything at all as a manger, although I wish Clint Hill well in his managerial career. Wycombe - would love it for Gareth, but they do not have the resources to survive in the second tier - so I would rather he be a top winning manager than a sacked failed Championship Manager Oxford - I have strong family ties with Oxfordshire - so I have not yet lived down that Milk Cup Final result. Take me through it again, just what happened on that day? In form QPR meet out of form Oxford....three bloody nil. Portsmouth - Always liked Kenny Jacket and I have a sympathy for any club that has had Redknapp as a manager - but he did give them one of their gretest days. Their fans have suffered as well. But they are truly horrible fans. I remember some pretty hostile trips to Fratton Park back in the day. So Hobsons Choice for me - but I don't want any of them really...….

I'm not that fussed about many of them, but I do have a big soft spot for Coventry. Went to high school in the midlands and the sole Coventry fan (everyone else was Villa/Brum or a top 5 Prem side) was one of my best mates. Still don't forgive them for Eoin Jess and do not fancy having to go St Andrews again, let alone the soulless weird expanse of the Ricoh Arena, but their fans have suffered a lot and they deserve a bit of joy. Been to a few Coventry away games when QPR weren't playing and their fanbase felt quite similar to ours in the League One days - a lot of gallows humour, travelling in good numbers. Also sheepishly admit that 'play up sky blues' is my favourite football chant maybe...ever?
Rotherham I've never made the trip to before and it's a good excuse to be in Sheffield, which I like a lot. Wycombe I feel nothing for really, but would be nice for Gareth. Want Barton to achieve nothing. Oxford another strange stadium and not far, but weird to get to without a car - only ever been to the old ground where I seem to remember us getting hammered 4-1?

As all those that know me are aware, one of the clubs in the play offs are the club that the Devil formed & are the world's most detestable!
They could have a whole team of ex Rangers players & management that I liked, but I would still wish them to be relegated. Funnily enough, I could never wish them extinction as that would take away the 11th commandment!
