Is fast becoming one of my favourite ever managers

I like him too Surrey.
Ok, so a little premature I think and we should apply the same thinking as when a manager does badly at the start of his tenure. Neither damn him nor claim him to be the messiah until some decent amount of time has passed.
Mark did well at Brentford, Forest and Rangers. Particularly at Forest he got that basket case of a club under control and many fans were disappointed when he got the boot.
What done for him in the jobs he lost was fickle fans high expectations and not enough time. Let’s not make the same mistakes. Give Mark time and when it goes through a bad patch, as it inevitably will, let’s not call for his head.

I'm very impressed with the way he handles himself, doesn't give any BS. Fans got excited when we were going through our purple patch last season but it became apparent that, when things started going awry, McLaren didn't have a plan B. I get the feeling that Warburton would have no such issues.

Well said. There is going to be highs and lows with this team this season and we will get a couple of hidings of that I have no doubt, but we are clearly a better team than last year. Will be interesting to watch the club develop. I hope the crowds start to get back to Loftus Road too.

All we heard from elsewhere when Warburton was appointed is that he was inflexible and had no plan B. If that was the case previously, it certainly isn't now. He has shown no qualms about changing from his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation, he has shown that he will pick players based on their current form and mix his selections as befits his game plan. Regardless of how this season pans out, I hope we stick with Warburton.

I've seen four of our league games this season & apart from the first half against wigan, I've been excited!
Long may this continue! I'm reminded of how we improved when Gordon Jago took over as manager.
If MW achieves half as much it will be wonderful!

The way the squad has been built on a shoestring, significant money generated from selling while retaining our best prospects is starting to look like very good work.

At this early stage, the thing that seems most definitive to me is what Marc said about how he handles himself.
Not to sound boring cos there's a lot to be excited about with us at the moment, but the main thing I get from him is that he's sensible and that's a good fit for us. This is still a massively difficult time for our club financially and the stakes are so high. But he seems someone who is acutely aware of that, is passionate without being wild and is very clear about what he expects and what he is trying to do. That is really important.
As others have said, I think we'll take some beatings this year but we're also going to dish out some hidings too. Optimistic about the bloke.

Think he has done really well to get 10 Pts from those six games. Not getting carried away though, recall we used to do well under Ollie then suddenly going 7-8 games without getting barely a point and back to near the relegation spots again.. Early signs are encouraging though for sure, it’s a tough old league.

Have to say that Warburton has been a breath of fresh air.
Loved Ollie, but he was getting increasingly cranky and erratic.
Was OK with McClaren, but never quite felt he was quite right for us, or us for him - I think he always thought he should be at a bigger club and there was a general air of disappointment about him.
Warburton take the job seriously, respects the club, the players and the fans. He seems to know what he wants on the pitch and is (so far at least) going about things in a very calm, professional way.
With FFP seemingly no under control, things are looking bright - for the next couple of years at least.

He’s actually got fans excited about watching us play.
We have three of our own players who can really grow into special talents, Manning, Chair and Eze. If Hugill applies himself he can be one of the best strikers in the Championship.
Leister may not be Rio Ferdinand at his peak, but he’s genuinely one of the most effective no nonsense centre backs in this division. I always maintain that in the Championship, probably more so than any other division, you need a good CB if you are going to win anything. I’m glad we’ve kept him and Warbs was humble enough to admit his initial mistake and give him playing time.

Warbs was humble enough to admit his initial mistake and give him playing time. When was the last time we had a manager do that? I have decided just to try and enjoy this season with the highs and the lows it will bring.
