The defender scored the last-gasp goal that fired the Addicks to their League One play-off final win against Sunderland on Sunday. That strike could now prove to be a famous last act for Bauer after four years at The Valley. Manager Lee Bowyer said securing promotion will increase Charlton's chances of retaining Bauer as they can now offer the out-of-contract centre-back a new deal. However, a string of clubs are queuing up to sign the 26-year-old German on a free transfer. Championship sides Hull, Preston, Blackburn, Wigan, QPR and Reading are all battling it out for his signature. Scottish giants Rangers are also monitoring his situation along with Hibs.

From London Football News. The offers for Freeman start coming in. londonfootballnews.co.uk/qpr/qpr-luke-freeman-leeds-united-marcelo-bielsa-move/Leeds United set to table bid for QPR starBY LONDON FOOTBALL NEWS 03/06/2019 Leeds United are set to make a move for QPR playmaker Luke Freeman. Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is keen to snap up Freeman, who was outstanding in Rangers’ home win against the Yorkshire side last season. Leeds have been linked with Freeman and his QPR team-mate Ebere Eze. While a move for young forward Eze seems unlikely, Leeds are expected to make Rangers an offer for Freeman. The London club will not want to lose him on the cheap – Freeman was their player of the year and extended his contract last season. There is no doubt he has the quality to play at the top end of the Championship, as he showed against Leeds at Loftus Road. Speaking after that game, the then QPR boss Steve McClaren made it clear he believed Freeman was capable of playing at a higher level – and that he would grace Bielsa’s Leeds side. McClaren told West London Sport: “He showed his real quality and infectious enthusiasm that he gives to the team. “When you’re looking for leadership and looking for people to have courage and take the ball, he’s got all that. “He’s someone who can play at the top of the Championship, could play in that Leeds team and could play in the Premier League, so we’re delighted to have him here.” Rangers turned down offers from Middlesbrough for Freeman last summer.

From the Offie. Another youngster signed up for another year www.qpr.co.uk/news/under-23s-news/defender-charlie-rowan-signs-contract-extension/Defender Charlie Rowan signs contract extensionGeorge Jones @qpr QPR youngster Charlie Rowan has put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension that commits to him to the club until June 2020. Rowan, a ball-playing defender who is also a vocal presence on the pitch, joined Rangers’ U23s squad midway through last season after leaving Watford. And having secured his future, he revealed to www.qpr.co.uk that he cannot wait for the new season to get started. The 21-year-old said: “Last season was a bit of a set-back, in terms of injuries, so I wasn’t able to progress as much as I wanted but I feel like it’s a new start now, a clean slate and I’m buzzing to get started. “The club are showing faith in me and they believe in me. They’ve given me a plan, told me where they want me next season and I’m really happy with that and can’t wait to start.”

That's interesting. I didn't see the need to replace Lumley but his kicking does neet improvement. Unless Lumley has decided its time to move on?....probably just paper talk though. Respect to Warburton as this move will either up Lumleys game or replace with better but with Ingram as number 2 as much as l like him , I’m wondering if if Lumley thought he had any competition at the club! Looks like he wants to leave. www.nottheoldfirm.com/uncategorized/some-livingston-fans-react-as-liam-kelly-activates-release-clause/

Yes, I know it's the Sun www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/4326872/lee-wallace-liam-kelly-qpr-mark-warburton-rangers-transfer-news/MARK WARBURTON has made a double swoop to sign Lee Wallace and Liam Kelly for QPR. SunSport can reveal the ex-Rangers boss will snap up the two players he worked with while at Ibrox. Goalkeeper Kelly invokes a clause in his Livingston contract which lets him quit the club for just £50,000. Both players have agreed deals in principle to move and will put pen to paper on contracts next week. Wallace’s Gers future has been hanging in the balance since he was controversially bombed out of the squad by Graeme Murty 13 months ago. The club captain was sensationally suspended along with team-mate Kenny Miller. He was unable to force his way back into Steven Gerrard’s plans. A number of English Championship clubs were eager to lure him south. But Warbs will now land him — with Kelly set to join him. We first revealed last month how the Scotland squad keeper was available for a knock-down fee. Livi boss Gary Holt said: “We have been working extremely hard in trying to keep Liam. Unfortunately it’s not to be and we move on.”

So what does that mean for Lumley? It was mentioned we are also negotiating with Dieng too. Surely we are going to have to let one more more of them go?

Of course, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes, especially with regards to any conversations between Warburton and Lumley. Is Kelly happy to compete with Lumley for the No.1 spot? Has Lumley expressed a desire to leave?

I haven't seen anything about Lumley wanting to move but do recall something about a club potentially bidding for him. Me neither, it was just a guess but we never know what's being said behind closed doors. Lumley had a mixed first Championship season. Made a huge difference when replacing a deflated Ingram and put in some good performances. He made mistakes (who doesn't?) and dipped in form with the rest of the team. He also played behind a dodgy defence. But his agent did start talking up a move towards the end of the season with Bristol City (who need a keeper) said to be interested. But with Ingram on the floor and Dieng out on loan he was largely unchallenged for the spot. I think Ingram is an OK keeper but for his own good has to move on. My guess would be back to Wycombe and in return they would waive what we still owe on him (if anything). Kelly will provide competition for Lumley, neither of whom will want to be number 2 keeper. If a bid comes in, we may well listen to it IMHO. Dieng would currently be 4th choice keeper. I think there is very little chance that he will be with us next season. I think the club know that and that is why we are bringing in another keeper. Dieng will get far better opportunities in terms of money and game time elsewhere. So we go from having potentially 5 keepers to perhaps Kelly and Brzozwski. But I like that we appear to be bringing in players before we decide who leaves. It means that the club is in control, not the agents. As for left back, if Wallace signs, we would have Rangel (if he signs), Manning, Wallace and Hamalainen. That looks fine. But at Centre Back, we have only Hall, Leinster, Phillips and maybe Furlong. We need at least one more. Then at striker, we have...............Smith, Oteh and Walker and maybe Wheeler. We are very short. So hopefully, watch this space!

I think the rumours of people being interested in him (Bristol City I believe?) were pretty rooted in the belief that it was a fairly blatant agent play on Lumley's behalf. Which for a relatively young keeper having a positive but mixed first season in the Championship seemed a misstep from him. I don't think there was actually much truth in the interest. I rate him and think he'll improve but I personally can't see a better club than us taking the plunge on him yet. Just realised Ricky has already laid that out though hehe.

On the Kelly stuff, it almost feels like it could be as simple as there being a half decent keeper being available for a relative pittance and is therefore worth a punt regardless of us then having to move other keepers on to accommodate him.

Could it be that we sign Kelly and loan him back to a Scottish Prem team?

Could it be that we sign Kelly and loan him back to a Scottish Prem team? Could it be we need a better keeper .. Lumley has potential to keep improving but not as confident as others that he’s the long term option as decision making and kicking both suspect!

Lee Wallace sounds a more likely signing than Jay Da Silva.
Da Silva would only be here for, at most, a season so we'd be right back (or left back, if you pardon the pun) where we started next season.
I thought that's the kind of scenario we're now trying to avoid.
Wallace at least would be ours for 2-3 years and would provide much needed leadership on the field and in the dressing room.
That's just my own thoughts on it, though.

Yep, not in a position to turn away International keeper for £50k - even if we just sell him on after bench warming. But the nail in Ingram's coffin has to be that Kelly can apparently play out from the back - because that is what Warburton likes. Hardly Ingram's strength is it?

From football insider www.footballinsider247.com/rangers-player-undergoes-medical-as-he-seals-exit/Ibrox Exclusive: Rangers fans favourite undergoes medical as he finalises exit IbroxDate: 7th June 2019 at 11:04am By Pete O’Rourke Lee Wallace has undergone a Queens Park Rangers medical as he finalises his exit from Rangers, Football Insider understands. The left-back is out of contract at Rangers this month and is set to leave on a free transfer after eight years at Ibrox. A QPR source has told Football Insider that Wallace is expected to complete his move to England next week after the international break as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season. Wallace found himself frozen out of the first-team picture at Rangers last season under Steven Gerrard after being given just 55 minutes of first-team football. But he remains a hugely popular figure among Bears who admire the 31-year-old for remaining loyal to the club even when they dropped to Division Three following their financial problems. QPR are in the market for a new left-back this summer following the release of Jake Bidwell at the end of last season and they have moved quickly to agree a deal with Wallace. Manager Mark Warburton is a big admirer of Wallace having worked with the Scotland international during his time in charge of Rangers and is keen to be reunited with him.

Seems to be a decent enough player and free signing for us. What we currently need. Guess Warburton still thinks he is fine, must have liked him as made him Captain before the double hernia season. Let’s hope he can be a solid left back for us.
Although he was involved with an alleged incident with a previous manager and Gerrard possibly never thought he had recovered from a double hernia acc to Wiki only.
(Wallace and teammate Kenny Miller were suspended by Rangers due to an alleged altercation with manager Graeme Murty.[31] After an internal investigation Wallace was fined four weeks' wages by Rangers, the maximum amount permitted.[32]
Wallace returned to the Rangers squad for pre-season activities in June 2018.[30] New manager Steven Gerrard said that he hoped the dispute would be resolved, and that Wallace would fully recover from his long-term injury.)

NEW BRIGHTON DEAL FOR HEMED
Brighton striker Tomer Hemed has been given a contract extension.
The Premier League club have exercised a one-year option on the deal he signed in November 2017.
Hemed spent the majority of last season on loan at QPR
I think that is a pretty odd decision by Brighton.

let Brighton have him !in my opinion he was one of the worst loan signings we have had !rather have Wells any day even Smith was better than Hemed could never understand why Hemed got selected over him at least when Matt plays you know you are going to get 100 per cent effort on the pitch never saw that with Hemed
