Please allow my geeky 🤓 ways and find your own team selections with our current squad? Mine would be now a 4-3-3
Smithies Furlong Onouha Robinson Bidwell Scowen Freeman Luongo Wszolek Smith Oteh
Remainder of squad could ably replace without losing ability or balance...
Thoughts and how would you set up?

3-5-2 As the incoming centre backs have not proved their fitness yet Smithies Hall Onuoha Robinson Wszolek Scowen Freeman Luongo Bidwell Smith Smyth I quite like both suggestions. I'm not sure what I'd go with; quite like the suggestion going around of an almost 4-2-3-1 that maximises width for crosses into Smith. Smithies Furlong Onouha Robinson Bidwell Scowen Luongo Wszolek Osayi-Samuel Freeman Smith So you'd have Scowen and Luongo in a fetch n carry role, Freeman slightly more advanced behind Smith and wingers on the wings. Looks more 4-2-2-2 but it's on the basis Scowluongman would be covering a lot of ground together in the middle and Pawel and Bright hug the touchline.

I wonder sometimes if systems get too complicated for players to really grasp. I have read plenty of articles where players (not necessarily QPR) have admitted to simply not understanding the system being coached to them and just don't know what's expected of them on the pitch half the time. We are playing an increasingly young bunch of players and, because of their inexperience, this can only make that lack of understanding more pronounced. Personally, I would like to see a simple 4-4-2 - the only concession to 'modern thinking', to maybe drop one of the attacking 2 a bit deeper depending on the opposition and whether we're home or away. As the saying goes, 'Keep it simple, stupid!'
