Ollie has been to Ashton Gate loads of times since his Rovers days. He'll enjoy the banter and laugh it off.

Based on the forums and Twitter, you'd think Ollie was one of the most unpopular managers going. But at the away games this season, he's barely had any stick and I think a lot of that comes from the fact that our away support has been whittled down to its core, who in turn tend to recognise that the players are fighting and we're in a tough situation (not counting myself in that category by the way, I probably go to about a third of the away games at most). There's a kinda malaise of knowing that whether you like Ollie much or not, we aren't going to have someone better just strolling through the door combined with it being a likeable bunch of players. The worse I've heard is an occasional "Ollie, sort it out" chant. I think if you've travelled up and down the country following us lot and our broadly awful away form, often watching some players who could care less, it's night and day really.

Thought Ollie let himself get far to embroiled with the Millwall fans that night. Players must of thought was was going on in that atmosphere, not best of prep before the game. Obviously Ollie will recognise and acknowledge the City fans as he comes from Bristol himself, just don’t want to see it taken too far if that makes sense.

Yeah I agree, though I don't think it necessarily had much of an impact on the game - it's a tough one. Yes it's an intimidating place to go and Ollie's reaction probably added to the spice of it but it's always going to be horrid. Without rehashing too much old ground, we simply set up for that game wrong, going narrow and high against a huge, physical side that will deal with high balls and 50/50s for fun. Trying to play a limited but well organised Millwall side at their own game was a silly decision from the off, regardless of Ollie taking the piss. As an aside, would reiterate that it's disgusting that when we play a side where a huge chunk of their fans spent the whole game climbing over barriers, baiting the away end and rushing the touchline to give our players abuse, a club that was being investigated YET AGAIN for racist abuse from their previous home game, we're the ones who 1. got coralled for 40 minutes in the freezing cold with barely any communication and 2. got forced onto a segregated platform to wait for half of a short train back to London Bridge that only ran every 15-20 minutes. Genuinely shocked no-one got seriously hurt in the crush and/or fell onto the tracks. Their sizeable minority behave like dicks and we are the ones who get the punishment. But yeah, while I have sympathy with Ollie giving a bit back when he gets some horrendous abuse off oppo fans, you do wish he'd suck it up and wind his neck in ha.

It’s a pretty intimidating place to go to for sure. Horrid dive. Yeah, he does get unduly stick from opposing fans, some I guess come from him being a pundit and talking negatively about their teams, nothing will change that now though. Got to get on with it and pick up these 5 wins asap, hopefully a couple at least in Feb.
